My partner and I booked a last minute trek to Mardi base camp through Silver Spring Treks and we had an absolutely amazing time.

We stayed at Bar Peepal hotel and, on arrival, mentioned we were keen to do some hiking starting the next day. The hotel quickly contacted their trekking adviser came in on his day off to talk to us and talked through our options. He then rapidly sorted a guide, porter, permits etc etc, so we were set to leave by 8am the following morning - very impressive service!

The trek itself was superb. Our guide, Lil, was fantastic and really made the trip for us. We couldn’t recommend him enough - if you have the chance to trek with Lil, do it! He was extremely knowledgeable and fun to walk with, but also gave us lots of time to ourselves - the perfect balance. He really looked after us - making sure we had everything we needed every day, including sorting meals, snacks, drinks etc, and ensured we timed our treks every day to maximise the good weather and get the best (amazing!) views of the mountains.
