Unreliable management, misleading listings, and zero accountability – proceed with caution
I had a deeply disappointing experience with a property operated by Adam Suites. The listing was misleading, the setup was nothing like what was advertised, and communication with the owner was aggressive and unprofessional.
When I raised concerns, I was met with denial, then silence, and finally hostility. No refund was offered, despite the accommodation being unfit for use and my concerns being raised immediately.
What’s most concerning is that this seems to be part of a wider pattern. The same owner operates multiple listings — including Adam Suites Hotel, Adam’s Canal House, and House of Adam — and guest reviews across properties suggest the same issues: misrepresented rooms, unresponsive service, and refusal to take accountability.
My advice? Look elsewhere. There are plenty of well-run, respectful properties in Amsterdam. This is not...
Read moreWe had a wonderful and pleasant stay at this accommodation. Despite its immediate proximity to the train station, the location was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat. The modern check-in system was very efficient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond, assisting us with all our queries and even suggesting solutions that perfectly aligned with our plans. Our room was small but perfectly sufficient for two people, featuring a comfortable bed. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, such as coffee, tea, and umbrellas. We also noted that the other guests were polite and respected the night quiet, contributing to a very pleasant atmosphere. We felt a strong sense of security throughout our stay. Overall, we highly recommend this accommodation for its comfort, excellent service, and peaceful...
Read moreThe location is perfect, as were the amenities (excluding bad shower). Due to Heritage listed and no room, there isn’t a lift. Ground floor or first floor rooms would be acceptable. However we personally had trouble dealing with the narrow stairs, especially with our luggage. Although we were on the 3rd floor it was actually the attic 4th floor. 72 narrow steps to get to our room, being in our 60’s it was a tough gig. Told we could leave our large suitcases on the ground floor 😩 As there are no staff on site except for cleaners there was no assistance in getting our bags back down. I would say this room would only be suitable for very short stays. On top of this there was next to no water pressure to have a shower. Would...
