I had high expectations for my recent visit, especially after making a reservation in advance to secure a seat. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing compared to my previous excellent experience. Upon arrival, all tables were already taken, and I was assigned to a very uncomfortable table on the lower floor, directly next to the kitchen. It seemed to be the only table down there and, judging by the clutter around it (cleaning equipment, ashtrays, etc.), it’s normally not used for guests. The table wasn’t even properly set when I was seated, which did not make for a welcoming start. Since I was hungry, I decided to stay. I ordered the mixed grill plate with rice and a soup. The soup was delicious, though not visually appealing. Unfortunately, the main dish was quite disappointing. I had ordered rice, but the dish initially came with fries instead. While rice was brought after I asked, it was frustrating as I don’t like fries at all. The rice itself was good, but the meat was dry and not properly warm. Because the restaurant was completely full and clearly understaffed, it was almost impossible to get anyone’s attention to raise a complaint or order another drink. After my initial order, no one checked on me again, which was especially frustrating given my awkward seating location. Overall, this visit was a letdown. I strongly recommend that reservations only be accepted when a proper table is available and when the restaurant can handle the number of guests without compromising quality...

Highly recommended! 🌟

Lebanese is my absolutely favorite food, so when me and my boyfriend had our last evening in Amsterdam, and still hadn't checked Lebanese food off of the bucketlist for the trip, we decided to make a search and the good reviews and photos brought us to Dabka. 😊

We weren't too-too hungry, so we decided to share an appetizer and a main dish between us. We landed on the mezza mix, the leba bread, and the grills mix. Wish we had been more hungry, because the food was SO yummy! 🤤

We were there pretty late in early august, and it was raining on and off, and a bit of a cold wind, but we decided to sit outside under the big awnings next to the canal. It had been a hot day with lots of walking, so we didn't mind at all. We didn't even go inside beyond the entrance, but it is a very clean place and on a charming street. ✨️

The staff was super, super-friendly! Seemed like they get a lot of regulars also, always a good sign. I totally forgot to take photos, I was so excited about the food!

My only regret is not being more hungry, because there was so much stuff on the menu that I wanted to taste. The hummus in the mezza mix was DELICIOUS! Next time I'm going to have to get a whole separate side of just hummus. 🤤

We will definitely visit again next time when in...

If you're searching for an authentic Lebanese dining experience in Amsterdam, look no further! "The Best Lebanese Restaurant" truly lives up to its name.

From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable meal. The decor beautifully blends traditional Lebanese elements with a modern twist, creating a cozy space perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

The menu is a delightful journey through Lebanese cuisine. I highly recommend starting with the Mezze Platter, which includes an array of dips like hummus and baba ghanoush, all bursting with flavor. For the main course, the Shawarma is a must-try—tender, marinated meat with aromatic spices. Vegetarians will also find plenty to love, especially the Mujadara, a hearty lentil and rice dish.

The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations. Their attentive service enhances the overall experience without being intrusive.

Overall, "The Best Lebanese Restaurant" is a gem in Amsterdam. Whether you’re a fan of Lebanese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is not to be missed! Highly...

I had high expectations from this place but I should have know better that it’s just another tourist trap where you shouldn’t do more than just have a quick bite. The indoor part is not cozy at all and too bright. The service is not attentive at all: the table was not set when we sat down, when the mains arrived they put the meal next to our empty dirty plates that they didn’t take away, and one of the waitresses had dinner close to us while being on a videocall with the speaker on. Moving to the food: the Mezza mix plate was like any other mixed plate I’ve had before and the bread is not included in the price (extra 2.50€). I’ve even found a hair in the bread dough… The chicken dish was alright to be honest, but the Foul Moudamas was way too oily and the beans were not cooked properly. Also they ran out of Lebanese pizza at 5pm on a Sunday!? They charged us 5€ for each alcohol-free beer (Heineken 0.0% 30cl) and only after leaving I’ve noticed that they’ve put the “Almaza” price (Lebanese beer) instead. A true disaster.

This place is where I enjoyed two of my best meals in Amsterdam. The food was so good the first night I returned the next night to have the meal that my wife ordered. The first night I had "Chicken in a Lebanese sauce", which was served with a tasty spicy salad and I chose rice instead of fries. It was tender, juicy and delicious. My wife allowed me to taste her lamb dish. The meat was tender and delicious, it had a mouth-feel of filet mignon. After eating one morsel, I determined that I would go back for the lamb the next night. They did not disappoint. Also, there is a medium spicy hot sauce on each table that is less about heat and more about delicious flavor. I put it on everything, including the hummus appetizer. The service was friendly and fast and to top it all off, two entrees, one appetizer and four glasses of a very decent Lebanese wine was only 60 Euro. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
