Recharge Hostel — Hotel in Rotterdam

The hostel looks nothing like in the pictures. It’s very dirty and the reception looks like and old store that someone just uses as office. But at 1st I was fine with that because the person at the front desk was really nice. On my 1st night and only night I stay there a really weird women came inside the room, clearly a junkie carrying nothing but bags with alcohol. I tried to ignore it but I couldn’t fall asleep. It got worse when she start talking to herself and walking around the room. I feel extremely unsafe and left in the middle of the night to another hostel a bit more expensive but certainly safer.||I think they should keep in mind the safety of other guests and not accept every person who shows up. I did a non refundable reservation but I know the person responsible can still approve it for the rest of the nights. I am still fighting for it. Absolutely terrible experience, avoid at all costs.

We booked a 6-bed dorm for one night and ended up leaving almost immediately. The room was filthy, with no ventilation and a terrible smell. The sheets didn’t look clean, and the whole place felt neglected. The stairs were incredibly steep and unsafe, making it uncomfortable and even a bit dangerous to go up and down.

To make things worse, the hostel looked nothing like the photos on the website completely misleading. We felt so uncomfortable that we left and spent the night at a restaurant that closes at 6 a.m., then went straight back home. We didn’t even spend the day in Rotterdam like we had planned, the experience completely...

The stay was far under the expectations and descriptions.

-The soap was empty. -Light doesn't work in the bed-bunkers. -No windows (Therefore no natural light.) -No proper cleaning (The floor was still dirty, there were dead mosquitos and there is lime on the shower-tap. -No proper ventilation (The ventilator is far from sufficient. It was hard to breathe and hot in the room. Especially in the upper beds.) -Half of the lockers don't have keys but are open, so they can't be locked.

There was no reception in the morning, so I reached out to the manager by email but didn't receive any answer.
