Witte de Withstraat, 1990'larda başlatılan "Kunst-As" (Sanat Ekseni) projesi kapsamında, Museumpark ile Maritiem Museum'u birbirine bağlayan bir sanat koridoru olarak yeniden tasarlandı. Bu dönüşümle birlikte cadde, sanat galerileri, kültürel kurumlar ve yaratıcı işletmelerle dolup taştı.

Öne çıkan sanat kurumları arasında Kunstinstituut Melly (eski adıyla Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art) ve TENT Rotterdam yer alır.
