Spikizi Bar — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Me and my boyfrined came to this place after searching through the internet for some special coctail experience. Turns out - not so easy to find one in Rotterdam. As far as I've noticed, most of the bars in Rotterdam offer the same assortment of coctails: martini espresso, margarita and other classic stuff. BUT Spikizi its the right place for those, who appreciate interesting flavours and combinations in their coctail in addition to great presentation and reasonable price. This place really stands out! Staff was friendly and non-formal, they were easy to speak to, more like to a friend then a waiter. Bartenders really know their job, feels like this place is made by and for people who care. The only thing is that this place is so small, that they had to dedicate a part of storage area to sitting. That farther part of the bar kinda contradicts with the frontroom interior. We did the cocktail workshop here for my 30th Birthday party as Spikizi is one of my fave cocktail bars in the Netherlands! And certainly it did not disappoint. The three cocktails we made were made in order of difficulty and they were delicious. The hosts (APPPIEE!) were super fun and friendly. We arrived a bit late to the workshop but they still explained it patiently in private to us so we could catch up on the rest. Even for my friends who didn’t drink alcohol it was a very fun experience with very tasty mocktails. The vibe was amazing with great music, like it was one big party. he cocktails are good, and the atmosphere is great. However, when I ordered a glass of water, I was given two bottles. The waitress said, “No, I have already served it now.” I said, “No, I really only ordered one glass of water-not even a bottle, but fine, whatever.” She took the other bottle back. When it was time to pay, I was only shown the total amount. I said I wanted to see what I had ordered. After being given two receipts, I saw that she had charged me twice for the water. I find it quite sneaky to make the customer pay extra like this. Firstly, she should have corrected the order immediately, and secondly, as a business, you should be transparent with your customers.
