Pros: Always-present owners, checking often to see if premises look in good shape/condition. campsite is kept at good levels of cleanliness, depending on the guests behavior, kitchen and laundry areas are clean and guests respect that. male and female toilets are somewhat clean but far from other campsites such as Top 10, where constant cleaning is performed through the day. On a positive note, these are far better than using DOC facilities or portable loos.

Cons: 10:30pm is the maximum allowed time for playing music or doing activities which allow for noise to be generated, which is a bit too late. This allows people to pass their limits of drinking and thus not minding other people's space. Being a family location, such time should be reduced to curb stressful situations from occurring. No staff to enforce guests to obey and abide to the camp rules after 10:30pm, which is a torment: loud guests, loud music, no respect towards others, etc. The worst part is when someone tries to comunnicate with loud guests, to address the situation. Unfortunately, this is seen as a challenge or insult by these guest, and it forces all other campers to bear the loud and fanfare of such complicated individuals. provided numbers for after-hours are never able to be reached, hence why there are no one to enforce silence and order after...

Hey Campers||Harbourside Holiday Park is a ripperty beauty camp and I loved every minute of my stay||I met up with lots of people who hardly complained about the amenities provided by Mike and Jane.||People I came across came from England, Europe and of course NZ!||There are a couple of stayers and one is Dave who provides the music for the Whiti Markets on Saturday and the other is John who runs a bus for schoolkids and then migrates to Hamilton Island over winter.||I cant thank Mike and Jane enough for all their help and support during my stay.||Come holiday season there is a great vibe at the Holiday Park and the kids who come from all parts of NZ are just like magnets to each other and the noise they make is one of happiness what with the pool and the safe scooter avenues onsite.| |A shout out to Eric and Jill (campers as well) for a lot of things including damn good meals to share.||The bird life is also something to mention. Every morning a tui rings out just before sunrise, there are fantails (piwakawake), ducks and of course the...

We stayed in a Deluxe 2 Bedroom Unit - they were very new and a deck was being built while we were there. The open plan living area is perfect for relaxing, cooking, playing cards with friends, watching tele or just looking out over the campground.||||Service was friendly, professional and faultless. Bathroom was so clean and lovely to use and be in. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable - a very large Super King! The dining table is lovely - round being perfect for playing cards and easy to wipe clean. The air con was quick to heat up and easy to use.||||The location is perfect - very close to town for when we used our bikes to get there. Check in and out was a breeze. Our friends had a mobile home - the owners kindly gave them a spot right opposite our unit.||||We highly recommend this place to stay - the price was very reasonable for what we had - if ever we come back to Whitianga, this is where we would definitely book...

If you're looking for a cheap overnight or accommodation at Whitianga, this is a good place to stay. Right in front of the water and great location close to the town. We stayed in a small room with a double bed and a bunk beds. Can accommodate a family of 4. Has mini fridge and a kettle. No complimentary tea, coffee or water. Have to bring your own. Shared toilets, kitchen and hot shower has limited time 5 minutes. Also wifi has limits. Just a few data within a day then you have to buy if you want. Overall, its a good budget place to stay with a good location. **Second visit now and we stayed in one of the studio unit. It's about $150+ a night. We enjoyed it. It has own toilet and bath, and little kitchen and mini fridge. The bed is very comfortable. There's TV, kettle, toaster and complimentary milk, tea, coffee. The owners are lovely.

Fantastic place. I hear it is crazy at Xmas and school holidays, but we virtually had the whole place to ourselves. Great facilities, clean, well maintained and very welcoming. Kids playground, trampoline and unheated pool. We travelled around the north island for 3 weeks and this was the most expensive place we stayed at. Overall, we payed less in other locations for a better experience. But this is hard to fault, except the price. I'd stay here again, but Whitianga does appear to be touted to the tourists rather than the experience. A bonus for this park is that they have a Jandal (sorry they are thongs) tree where the owners donate $10 to charity for every pair left here to place on the tree. That tells me that the owners are first rate. Well done.

Absolutely loved our stay for one night at this place. The check in process was so smooth. We had checkin in after check in hours but everything was so flawless. I must say I'm really impressed. There was ample parking for us too. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was fantastic. They don't provide blankets for free so ensure you either carry them or u may purchase it from these folks. Even wifi is not free. Food - there are lots of eateries around (including a subway). They even have plenty of supermarkets so may get stuff and cook in at the kitchenette the have in d cabin. But overall absolutely loved everything about this place.
