After finishing ordering my order and saying "that's all" the worker asked if I was paying for my girlfriend to and I said no then she arrogantly said "are you sure" and I said no which gave a bad start to my experience. I ordered the salmon bagel which was supposed to come with avocado. When my bagel arrived it had sliced nectarine instead of avocado so I asked the waitor why, he said that they had no Avocado's so the chef was using nectarine instead which I was not informed of when I ordered. He said I need to go talk to the girls inside and tell them about it so I did. I told them I had no avocado and one of them said "so are you not gonna eat it" I said no because I only ordered the bagel for the avocado and the staff looked very annoyed at this comment I then had to ask for a refund which felt as if it was relluctently given. Husband and I went to have a cup of coffee and cheese scone at Coghill Cafe, Whitianga after heavy rains in three days. Coghill Cafe which is not in plain view but the best in town for the following reasons:
They have the great Rebecca there who truly knows customer relations very well, not to mention she is very switched on with very beautiful welcoming smiles.
The Barista designed coffee is wonderful, not to mention their cheese scone is perfectly made (not those ones that crumble as you bite or cut it).
There is a large balcony outdoor where customers can enjoy the sunshine, not to mention the peacefulness of the side street, 10 Coghill Street.

My poached eggs were hard, my bacon and tomato had been baked in bulk in an oven, the toast was dry (felt stale). My friends Eggs Benedict also had hard eggs, and the hollandaise sauce was clearly from a packet and tasted very bland. It's not hard to serve up a nice freshly cooked breakfast but taking shortcuts like pre-cooking food in bulk and serving packet food is just lazy and cheap.
