Disappointed and Regretful Experience – Not Worth the Hype
We visited Indian Aroma – Indian and Thai Cuisine after reading a number of positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of disappointing. We were genuinely excited to try a fusion of Indian and Thai dishes, but the execution left a lot to be desired. Here’s what we ordered: • Goat Curry: Visually, the dish looked promising and mouth-watering, but the taste did not match the presentation. It was extremely bland and lacked any depth of flavour – a huge letdown. • Chicken Saagwala: This dish was confusing. The chicken pieces were red, and when I asked the server, he said it was tandoori chicken. Who uses tandoori chicken in Saagwala? The chicken itself was bland and tasteless, which led me to believe it may have been frozen, reused, and suffered from freezer burn – absolutely no flavour at all. • chicken Fried Rice: This seemed like a hybrid gone wrong. Drenched in soy sauce and yet somehow completely bland – a bizarre combo that didn’t work. • Thai Red Curry: Possibly the most confusing dish of the night. It tasted like a strange fusion between butter chicken and Thai curry. For any Thai cuisine lovers out there – your ancestors would be turning in their graves. • Chicken Stir Fry with Basil: No hint of basil, which is meant to be the star ingredient. It was oily, salty, and dominated by the taste of soy sauce. We couldn’t even tell what we were eating.
After spending $140, we left extremely dissatisfied. The food was far from authentic, and the fusion approach felt forced and poorly executed. They seriously need to have a word with their chef and reassess their menu. Trying to blend Indian and Thai cuisines can be innovative, but here it was simply a disaster. To make matters worse, my stomach wasn’t happy the next day either.
Not going back – and I wouldn’t recommend this place unless major...
