Worst Experience ever, unfriendly host, not recommend to everyone!
The worst facilities in NZ, never seen such a motel like this. Every little things would tell !
Wifi is not working, you would search little signal within 2 metres from reception. If you stay in your room, no reception at all.
TV only has 2 channels, very poor.
Marks on the pillows and beds, all dusty around the room, smelly and very dirty. Pillows are flat and bed are really uncomfortable. Towel is broken and fluty. Fridge making noises the whole night.
No milk provided to tea or coffee, only two poor teabags in the room.
All Slogans inside the room to ask you not to do this, not to do that. Besides, ask you to turn off all the heater to save money although the heater is not working. You would feel how the host doesn’t want the guests to stay.
Weeds everywhere in the driveway or in the garden, no maintenance at all.
We really want to upload the photos for everyone to see it.
It’s a shame to see this terrible motel in such a...
Read moreWesthaven. As an ADS accreedited tour guide, I've stayed in numerous hotels/motels/air bnb/mate's places. This one is odd and it would hurt my honestly if I recommend this to you at all.Owners have put multiple water restrictors in the hot water line, so you can only get dripping speed of hot water out from the shower. The purpose was clear: they didn't want you to use any hot water in shower. The results were also clear: you couldn't have a hot shower. When you wash your chest, your back felt freezing, and vise versa. There are also way too many educational slogans in the room, telling you to save water for the sake of enviormeantal protection. May I ask you a simple question: how could you waste water when there is hardly any hot water out from your taps? We are here for vocations, not for your environmental education. If I could give -5 stars, I would give it to this motel. If you want a comfortable shower and not want to get educated by such slogans, DO...
Read moreThis was a real disappointment on arrival. It certainly didn’t feel 4*. The room was very tired, there was a kitchenette with all the equipment you might need, however, had to wash the cutlery as the knives were dirty. It looked as though there had only been a light cleaning done, but the beds were comfy and the shower was good. The area felt very run down, there was very limited choice of places to eat but we had a couple of really nice meals nearby. If we hadn’t been within a couple of minutes walk for the helicopter trip we’d booked, we wouldn’t have stayed. In fairness, it didn’t help there was torrential rain at the time, which never helps. There was a minute terrace outside, but only about 10feet from the neighbouring property, whose windows looked right into our room. We did ask if there was another room available but were told no, despite the sign outside saying there...
