Hotel Los Alpes Santa Teresa — Hotel in Asuncion

It seemed like a nice hotel at first but the service isn’t as good. Staff took a while to reply to my messages to confirm a room booking while over email they were telling me they had no availability. Then when we got there, they had issues with EVERYTHING regarding the payment. The worst part was that they were looking at the fckn colour of the dollar bill to see which price they would charge when they previously confirmed the rate. They forced me to go and exchange somewhere else because they couldn’t take the payment like that and they raised my rate a lot just because of the colour of the bill. The employee was super arrogant, no sense of service at all. The condescending attitude and the indifference over an issue they should resolve on their own over problems with currency and colours didn’t help and we ended up booking somewhere better. She didn’t even ask if something went wrong of if she could help, she just said bye. Absolutely...

When this hotel was proposed I was happy to see it had a decent pool. Sadly the pool is a little small but the two of them are ok for cooling off on the hot summer days with a nice cascade feature. The food is a bit samey and could do with refreshing every few days but plenty of nicer restaurants nearby if you can venture out.||||The staff only really speak Spanish/Portuguese so freshen up before you leave. ||||The area is quite nice and the hotel is safe with lots of staff on hand all day.||||The sheets could do with a deep clean or refreshing soon but otherwise sleeping was not a problem (there was road noise but not a problem for me). ||||Taxis are available from the hotel and at a good rate.||||Light fixtures (and exposed wires) in some areas could do with tidying up but otherwise it is ok. My room had a little water inside during a storm (top floor) but the storm was awful.||||An ok stay in an average hotel but not far from being better...
