Hotel Munay Cusco — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

Overall, a pretty negative experience at Munay Ñusta. Rooms were freezing and damp, beds hard. Bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned - I found someone's old razor cover in the shower tray... And the toilet seat was broken. There was only one plug socket in the room near the bed which didn't charge properly and was half hanging off the wall - seemed rather dangerous. The WiFi was hit-and-miss and at times didn't work at all. The staff were rather unfriendly and didn't welcome me at all when I arrived at the front door, but stared at me blankly until I had to ask "can I come in?|The hotel is about as far out as you can get from the centre, and a long walk uphill - not ideal.|However, the main problem was the noise - from inside and outside the hotel. I could hear everything from the surrounding rooms, and people banging on the front door, at all hours. Part of the problem here is that a member of staff have to let you in the door when you knock and, as I experienced, you could be outside knocking for 5+ minutes before being let in! Finally, I didn't get any details about breakfast, despite this being advertised...

Erika and Saul are incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially when it comes to late arrivals and early departures. They even prepared an early breakfast for us, which we greatly appreciated. This is the best accomodation if you wish to visit Saqsaywaman by yourself as the site is very close! The rooms are clean and quiet. Granted they could have one more chair or a reading light instead of Netflix but each guest has different priorities.
