Be warned that you need to climb to this place, skip this place if you don't practice often or sick of high altitudes. Nice church with Inca context The church itself is not as spectacular as The Cathedral of Cusco at Plaza de Armas, even looks shabby. But when taking closer look, you would find something interesting. I have to make clear that myself is atheist. In the center sits statue of the Lady of Rosary, that's normal, but when you walk into the end of the temple on left side, you will find a statue of Christobal himself who was a member of the Inca royal family, he does not sit or stand still like other ones being worshipped, he looks dancing and happy with Inca spirit, right side temple was closed, but I guess it was for another founder of the church, I forgot his name, but he was the land owner of this church. I also saw fresh flowers in front of Christobal. This makes things very interesting, because Inca people did not forget their ancestors, they pay their tribute in a Christian church. The view from the bell tower of the church and courtyard are equally spectacular, you can sit and enjoy it for long time. I even got acquainted with a couple from Toronto:)

Worth visiting. For tourist ticket is required to visit inside the church. Beautiful church, has a beautiful gold leafed retablo and an exposed whitewashed wooden roof trusses. Theres nothing special or outstanding about the church. A basic cusco church. No photography inside. The church is recently restored. Has a toilet inside. The ticket allows you to climb the bell tower and have an excellent view of the historic center. The main selling point is the climb to the belltower, because the church itself is not worthy for a fee as its small, very basic and almost nothing special to see. If you dont want to spend a soles its ok, nothing is missed as you could also get a beautiful view from the plaza nearby. Five star for the belltower climb and the view

We met some of the local parishioners as they were preparing for this weekend's festival. Several were surprisingly prayerful even while others worked on the decorations. They express their faith in Jesus in very concrete ways both with the colorful processions and with their kindness to the many, many tourists who basically use their plaza and church bell tower as a scenic overview of the city and as a place to rest. If you don't mind tourists walking by it can be a good place to pray.
