We stayed at Casa Conquista in Cusco for 5 days before we went on a trek and again for a night on our return. The hostal is run by a small local family who recently took over from a bad partnership. I have only good things to say about this place. The owner (who speaks decent English) told me that his goal is to have a place with a high level of hospitality and customer service because many places in Peru do not have this. Well he has it for sure! We always felt like part of the family! We were away for 6 days during our trek and when we returned at 10pm without a reservation the senora at the desk remembered us, which room we were in 6 days before and our luggage was still in the room waiting for us! Read moreif you come to Cusco and you are not a picky person and you want to live the real adventure this hostal is a good option. It is not a five stars hotel but it has what u need-a decent bed, free breakfast and wifi and the rooms are cleaned every single day. it is located pretty close to everything, the owner who is a reliable person can help you with anything that you need, you just have to ask, I came with my family and relatives and for us the attention was excellent, we felt like we were in our own home because of the attention,however if you want something more fancy this hostal is not for you, also remember that you are in Peru so basically most hotels do not have heat so bundle up at nights because is really cold.
