Unforgettable Experiences at Machu Picchu + Peru I had an amazing time in Peru thanks to John and his company, Machu Picchu Tours. This was a once in a lifetime trip and I couldn't be happier with my decision to have booked my trip with Machu Picchu Tours. John, with his 15 plus years of experience in tourism, made my trip everything I could have hoped and asked for. We spent 10 days in Cusco doing day trips including the 4-day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. John organized the day-to-day activities giving us plenty of time to explore the city on our own time all while filling our day with information about the history and culture of his ancestral people, the Inca, and Peru. Every single day trip was uniquely filled with new sites, sounds and memories. However, our most memorable event was our 4day trek up to and back down from Machu Picchu. John’s team of porters were beyond great. The food (!!!) on our trek made by head chef Balbino was some of the most impressive creations I've ever seen and tasted. Have you ever had cake at 4000 meters altitude made with Jell-O that was settle with cold mountain stream water? I was very impressed with John’s whole team, especially with how well organized they all were. Everything was on time and presented to us with a genuine smile. There is no question in my mind John and his team at Machu Picchu Tour is who I will be recommending any time I am asked...

Our group did the 4 day trek to Machu Picchu and it was absolutely amazing. Excellent customer service from preparing us for the hike through arrangements for our rides to and from the airport. While on the 4 day trek they took such good care of us. Educating our group on what to expect and how to breathe in the higher elevations. We had two tour guides with us. One who stayed at the front of the group and one in the back. By the time we would reach our lunch spot and camping spot the porters would have our lunch ready and campsite set up. The food was outstanding!!. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the trail and the ruins we would visit. John with Machu Picchu tours made all our hotel reservations, bus rides and train rides. He recommended some great places to visit and to eat at. John himself took us around Cusco and the Sacred Valley. This truly was a once in a lifetime experience and it went perfectly because of Johns experience and knowledge. John was always kind and willing to answer all our questions. John was always kind and cheerful. I noticed his intentionality in everything he did to make this experience perfect for us. I HIGHLY recommend Machu...

Thank you Machu Picchu Tours for helping me make my Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain dreams come true!

John and Edwin were our awesome guides who kept us safe on our 4 day, 26 mile Inca Trail hike while teaching us about Inca history and more. Carmelo was our fabulous head chef who went above and beyond our expectations. Our multi-course meals were so delicious and creatively put together with limited kitchen supplies and challenging moments under the rain. Last but not least, words cannot express the amazing porters we had. They lightened our load carrying belongings and camp equipment as we journeyed from one campsite to the next. From the warm wash cloths upon camp arrival to the tent setup and take down, the porters made our camping trip into an unexpected glamping experience.

The Machu Picchu Tours staff made our Peruvian adventures 100% better and I highly recommend their services. I will never forget their kindness, hard work and flexibility. Thank...

This was my first international travel in my life and it was so much more than I expected. John and Edwin shared their culture, knowledge and history of Peru, Inca ruins, Machu Picchu and so much more! Our trip was 11 days including 4 days on the Inca Trail. As a slow backpacker from the states it was so reassuring that John and Edwin continued to check on our group, how we felt, altitude symptoms and overall experience! I learned about some of our porters how hard they work and was in awe of their athleticism because it takes strong individuals to carry the weight, leave after you and still be set up before you and provide everything you could need! Thank you John and team for looking out for your supporting team. Having 3 hot & fresh meals a day on a backpacking trip plus BIRTHDAY CAKE in the Andes Mountains....wow! So much to say but just WOW! Seriously, you will not regret your trip with Machu Picchu tours!
