We were sadly disappointed tonight. I try not to leave negative reviews, but this is necessary because I believe you WILL get sick if you eat here. Some of the worst food I’ve ever had in very unclean conditions. The falafel was nearly inedible with terrible flavor and texture…also didn’t look anything like a falafel—(more like a bunch of lentils slapped together and fried). My quinoa was LITERALLY swimming in water and clearly not cooked all the way through. The chickpeas on my plate were soaked but not cooked, mushrooms were raw too...absolutely not edible. My boyfriend’s dish was supposed to contain plantains, yet what he received was a banana cut in half, peel STILL ON and fried, just slapped into the plate. A banana. Yep. There were about 8-9 flies we counted circling the restaurant, dirty floors and counter, as well as some dark brown, unidentifiable substances floating around in giant jars on the counter….it was very unsettling. Despite all the issues we still paid the bill but we certainly won’t ever be going back. ...
Read more1st time we ate at their stand inside Mercado San Blas and it was amazing! So on our last day in Cusco it was more convenient for us to go to their restaurant location (at 3pm) - what a mistake! Its a 2 floor home, father of the family is cooking on the 2nd floor, while a 6-7 year old boy takes your orders downstairs. While my husband is a latino with fluent Spanish - there was a huge communication issue and we kind of expect to have something wrong with the order, which of course ended up happening. Another customer at the next table was going through exactly the same. It seems like things are out of control during the day, when the mother of the family is attending their stand at Mercado San Blas (till 4-5pm). While everything was outstanding at the Mercado San Blas stand, the experience at the actual restaurant facility (where there is wider variety of options) was...
Read moreDelicious food, super cute and cozy restaurant. Very nice people, family run! The falafel is amazing (slightly different than Mediterranean falafel but it’s some of the best I’ve ever had), pita, and vegetables all fresh and flavorful. We’ve gotten the mega vegano pitas and durums, both so freaking good.
Unfortunately we ate here once and now we are only able to eat here because it is the only thing we crave. We’ve eaten here 5 times just this week, both takeout and dine in the food is always high quality. We don’t often eat out as vegans but this place is so worth it, and it is nice eating somewhere where there is not also meat being cooked. You can tell the food is good because in the afternoon it gets packed. They also have...
