When I booked our trekking vacation with Peruvian Andes adventures the option of staying at the Morales Hotel/guest house was offered to us, and we thankfully chose to stay here. The hotel is a nice walking distance from the downtown area so it is quiet at night and it provided us with the opportunity to really get to feel and experience Huaraz vs just walking out of a hotel door. The beds and pillows were very comfortable with great hot showers and the rooms were spotless. Cleaned daily with fresh towels and even linens. We had them do laundry for us between treks and it was done quickly and smelled amazing. We have never had fresher fruit than our morning breakfast. We even chose to eat dinner there the night before we left on our trekking adventures. The food at Morales was better than any food we had in town. I developed an unexpected medical emergency, totally unrelated to any trek, and the decision to stay at the Morales guesthouse/hotel saved my life. Hisao the owner recognized that I needed medical attention immediately and he arranged for an ambulance and interpreter to travel with my husband and I to the hospital where I would spend eight days. During the time that my husband could not visit me in the ICU the staff at the Morales hotel kept my husband company and allowed him to eat with them in the kitchen so he was not alone. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and generosity. I would not hesitate to recommend the experience that you will have at the Morales...

Read moreWe stayed at the Hotel Morales off and on between treks and climbs over 18 days. The place is wonderful-- brand new construction, very clean. The bed was great- actually great - with a down feather pillow! Our room had a balcony overlooking the city of Huaraz, where we hung out and watched the sunset and the stars. The food was wonderful- we had fresh orange juice, eggs and toast for breakfast. The Hotel prepared a special spaghetti dinner for us on short notice, and at the end of our visit they put on a huge Peruvian barbecue dinner.
The hospitality and kindness might be the best I have ever had! The hotel owner actually accompanied us to the medical clinic when one member of the party got altitude sickness in the mountains. Several on the staff speak English well, which really helped when...
