When I first looked online and saw the proximity to the train station, I thought it would be an ideal location. It wasn't, as you have to exit from the northwest side of the station only than walk up the hill to reach the hotel. It wasn't a horrible location, but their are much better options. The shower had zero hot water and barley a minute of something no freezing to at least rinse off in. They told us we were only allowed 3 minutes to shower? We'll, I was done in 30 seconds. Definitely can't recommend staying here because after hiking, you definitely will want a comfortable shower, and you won't get one here. Soundproofing is a joke. Someone in the lobby was watching stuff on their phone, and we could easily hear it. The room had a window only to the hallway, which allowed passer bys to see in as the curtian didn't fully cover the window. Breakfast consisted of cold coffee that was undrinkable, a single roll with some jelly and a few small slices of ham and cheese. We had to go to a cafe to find breakfast after we checked out. It's hard for me to come up with anything...
Read moreBeen in Perú for 2 weeks. One night in this hotel and it was the worst experience of the whole trip. There was a group of teenagers shutting doors loudly ,screaming smoking weed and disturbing everyone in the hotel. We have reported the issue to the girl at the reception. She responded "voy a conversar con ellos...". After other clients complained she finally asked them to stop. But you can't "conversar" with such individuals, you just have to impose yourself and make them respect the rules. After several attempts she said she would call the police. The police never came . The guide responsible for the group then showed up and quickly imposed himself on the receptionist who abandoned any charge on the group.... This little game finally stopped around 1 AM. I did not sleep at all that night thanks to the insignificant management of this unprofessional staff. And yet I left the hotel at 4 am to go visit Machu picchu. Worst experience, the staff never apologized 9r give compensation for this horrible service. Avoid this place...
