The problem with accommodation in Paracas is there aren't any good mid-range options. You either have backpacker hostels or luxury resorts. Palmeras House, for approximately 32 USD per night, gets you a tiny private room with a miniscule bathroom. Hot water and wi-fi are hit-and-miss. The water in the shower is a trickle. The rooms aren't cleaned during your stay, including the poo bin. Windows can be opened from the outside very easily. There is a terrace on the upper floor and a small kitchen area that you can use. Breakfast isn't included. You don't get a key for the main door so you have to knock every time you return. There was no welcome when we arrived, just a young man cleaning who handed us a key. One can walk from one end to another in 10 minutes. Palmeras is not by the beach but set in a residential area. It's away from the noise of bars. When we were there though there was construction happening next door and it was noisy.|The walls are thin and you can hear every noise from the next room. We were welcomed by the super friendly staff. The beds are good and the rooms are tiny but more then sufficient for one or two nights. There is no breakfast but if you have an early boat trip you can arrange that the night before yourself. For us its not always a must to have a complet breakfast.
