Icthus Paracas — Hotel in Paracas

Very well located, cheap hotel. Breakfast with egg is 12 soles per person. Scrambled egg and fruits, yogurt, tea or coffee, bread and butter. Laundry is available but quite expensive. They said '7' so I thought it's total 7 soles, but it was 7 soles per kg. In Lima it was 3 or 4 soles per kg. And we asked them where to get the detergent, they told us we can buy it from the supermarket. So we bought it with 2 soles. I still don't know the price includes the powder or not. Anyway we didn't know we had to weigh them and they weighed and told us it was 5 kg so we paid 35 in the night, but next day they told me it was 6 kg so we have to pay another 7 soles in the morning. We enjoyed our stay here and ended up staying 5 nights as we really liked the quiet town. The rooms are clean and warm enough, & they have plenty of fans stored on the roof if you need one. The staff are very friendly, the water is hot, & breakfast can be purchased for s/10 per person. We arranged activities in Paracas & transport to Huacachina through the hostel at good prices. |The rooms were very small, however they were comfortable enough. The kitchen is tiny and the staff use it to prepare breakfast for guests who wish to purchase this, as well as their own meals throughout the day, so the kitchen is usually always full. Our experience with this hostel wasn't the best. The location was convenient but we had some issues. The wifi was very weak and that's very important when you are a tourist. They also cleaned our room even when we asked them to not do it. Other issues that we had were: The fan was noisy The shower had an inconsistent temperature The street next to the room was noisy The water pressure in the faucet was inconsistent The curtains were so light that you can't really sleep until late bc of the sunlight and it also made the room really warm in the morning and during the day If you are looking for a social place this isn't the hostel for you We wouldn't...
