If you are traveling to Paracas for the evening, you should consider William’s property. First of all, he’s an amazing host. We knew beforehand that he did not speak much English but had no problem communicating through What’s App and our broken Spanglish. What a friendly guy! The space is minimalist, but it’s clean. Comfy beds, beautiful terrace. Clean linens and towels, and cute pool and waterfall. It’s a guest house, not a hotel. So make sure you are aware of your own personal needs before booking this accommodation. Also, he recommended a bunch of restaurants and bars and tour companies to us and everything he told us about was INCREDIBLE! He knows the town. Also, the morning I decided to stay back from a group tour, he messaged me and told me to contact him if I needed help getting food delivered or a taxi. It was a wonderful experience and we would absolutely stay there again. Thank you William!!...
Read moreI spend a lot of time travelling around Peru so have become comfortable with basic accomodations in out-of-the-way places. However, Paracas Guest House was beyond the line for me. We had reserved two nights but ended up staying only one. The room itself was not too bad (though we did find enough hair and dirt in the room to cause concern). ||||However, they do advertise King beds on 3rd party sites, and the bed is less than a standard double. Our biggest issues with Paracas Guest House were -- an unprofessional greeting by the owner/manager (in a tank top), an unfinished public area space, and a terrible location (near the edge of the city and nearby several vacant lots). ||||I really suggest finding other accomdations unless needing the most basic accomadations for only one night. We left immediately after about 8 hours here and were very glad to move on down to the San Agustin to recover from Paracas...
Read moreWhen it's over 30 degrees outside and the sun is shining from a cloudless sky, a floor fan isn't enough to cool down your room. But that's what Paracas Guest House offers - so you'll sweat a lot.||It may not sound like it, but we're actually positive about the hotel, which should rather be categorized as a youth hostel. A relatively expensive one at that.||The women at the reception and in the kitchen in the morning are incredibly sweet and helpful. If you don't speak Spanish, you'll figure out how to communicate using your smartphone's language function.||The rooms are decent enough, a bit basic, and have a view of the hotel's pool. However, our room also had a view of an ugly construction site.||On the positive side, there was (a rather basic) breakfast included in the price, and the wifi works great in the room. It's only 500 meters to all the restaurants along the town's boardwalk...
