(23.12.02) (Still on Soft Opening) Any restaurant that has a statue of GuanGong is mostly likely Chinese-owned. But, is it good Chinese good? Unfortunately, I didn't like 2 out of 3 dishes. I would probably have to come back to try the other dishes. Here's what I tried: Jumbo siomai: So-so. It's really bigger than most siomai around the city. However, it's not ideal for eating on it's own, because the flavor demands to be tamed. 😂 So, it's best paired with soy sauce and calamansi (or chili oil sauce). Besides Master Siomai, they seem to be the only siomai place that offers calamansi. Surely that's not an HK thing. Chicken feet: I test dimsum places with how well they can make chicken feet. This has a certain flavor that doesn't sit well with me. Beef brisket and beef tendon: The worst of the bunch. It tastes like it has milk. The beef and tendon weren't bad, but the soup is just not appetizing. I noticed many tables ordered laksa, which came in a metallic pot with a burner. I thought that was strange, because you don't go to Hong Kong to eat laksa. 😂 Anyway, they do have plenty other dishes like beancurd roll (not common), congee, fried rice, and other fried food. I will come back for sure, but I couldn't recommend this now. There's better...
Read moreOrdered laksa, signature fried rice, and spare ribs. All 3 orders are only good for 2 adults. On the pricier side since youll probably spend around 500 per person without drinks but food is good.
Laksa is a must order. Fried spare ribs was tender. Fried rice was also good but we found lots of msg powder on the rim of the plate. If youre avoiding msg better skip this place.
Ambiance wise, it's not the best looking place. This is a place to eat and not for staying long.
Service is also good except for that one guy that was serving guests including us with a frown. He made us feel like he hated his job and would rather ignore us instead. Take out for laksa will also be in a plastic bag only, they should just charge customers extra for containers especially since it's soup.
Overall, good place to eat if youre willing to shell out around 500 per person, service is good if youre being served by other staff members and not by the guy, big parking space too, but place is very ordinary and take outs including soup will be in a plastic bag.

Read moreEats Fresh offers an authentic Hong Kong dining experience that truly captures the essence of the cuisine. The food is exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options that are both flavorful and satisfying. The service was impressively fast, and the staff was very accommodating, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our meal.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the reservation process. Despite our party of 32, there was no offer for a private or VIP room. When actually they have a VIP room at the 3rd floor . We just knew it when my husband asked what was at the 3rd floor. The trainee said it was a VIP room for reservation. And that time no one had reserved for it . And this lack of consideration meant that we had to arrive earlier than lunch to secure seating for our guests, which felt inconvenient for such a large group.
Overall, while the food and service were top-notch, I believe that a more thoughtful approach to accommodating larger parties would enhance the dining experience...
