Ina HomeStay — Hotel in Coron

Not a good experience overall.

• There is no mention anywhere—on the Airbnb listing or Google Maps—that the property is located far uphill. This makes it difficult to access on foot, especially in bad weather, and tricycle rides cost extra due to the location. • Check-in was disorganized. There is no clear signage, no visible host or manager, and no reception or bell. We were left confused upon arrival. • The listing says guests can access the laundry area, but fails to mention that it’s paid and there is no dryer. • One bathroom has no ventilation, causing a persistent foul smell from day one. • The house is surrounded by crawling and flying insects, making it hard to leave doors or windows open and unpleasant to walk outside. • Bedsheets were worn out and looked unclean. • The induction stove barely functions—took extremely long to heat water for ramen. Not suitable for guests...

One of the worst experiences ever, shower and toilet were disgusting. (Cockroaches, Toilet seat still covered in excrement from previous guest, there was even a stray cat under our bed). Unfriendly hostess, kept trying to make money off us + tried to rent us a broken scooter. Didn’t offer to clean our room during the 7 days we were there. We had to ask for it twice. We just felt like we were annoying the owner every time we asked...

My favourite homestay in our Philippines holiday! This cute charming place is nestled up a hill, boasting with great views, home-like atmosphere was great. The place also had a small pool, perfect for a cool down and a kitchen for cooking. Room had air-conditioning, comfortable bed and balcony.
