We booked this hotel for a 4 night stay and we are currently on day 3 of our trip, but I am already happy to give Laule'a an excellent review. |Firstly this is a hostel so it provides only the very basic amenities, but in terms of value for money this place is fantastic. |The hostel is situated right in the centre of El Nido town, so in terms of location it is absolutely perfect. It is a minute walk to the beach and is surrounded by bars and restaurants and shops, so anything you need is seconds away. I am a very light sleeper and I have had no problem with noise here at night. The main bars with loud music are directly on the beach and so you cannot hear any noise once in your room. All tours and activities can be booked through the hostel or if you prefer there are plenty of places nearby offering the same sort of thing. |The rooms we stayed in was small but you are not in El Nido to spend all day in your room. The rooms are modern and very clean. The bed was lovely and comfy and the pillows were so soft and plump. The only negative here was we were provided with one sheet for cover which we often fought over during the night. The air con was fantastic and we were never too hot. The wet room style bathroom was clean and modem with a big rain shower head. Water was not always hot, I found late evening was the best time for a hot shower. But I imagine everyone has a similar problem in El Nido and is not the hostels fault. Shampoo is provided as are towels. |Breakfast was included in the price and us served next door in a little rooftop cafe. The choices of breakfast were varied: pancakes, toast, Filipino style breakfast or continental. Breakfast was chosen the night before and is served until 10.30am. I tried 3 of the different Filipino style breakfasts and all were delicious. |Finally I have to say a huge thank you to Dennis for making our stay in El Nido so enjoyable. Dennis organised our tours, sorted out our water shoes for the tours (with correct sizes!) And helped us find places to eat. Customer service here was 5 star. I would absolutely stay here again. If you are looking for somewhere central to everything, with friendly helpful staff, comfy beds, clean rooms and shower, with a free tasty breakfast, all for a very low price then...
Read moreGreat stay at Laule'a. This hostel is located in the main road, close to a lot of restaurants, laundrymat and bakery.
We had a great stay since the staff was beyond amazing. The rooms are fairly small and need a bit more maintenance. During our stay they were doing some upgrades to the 3rd floor.
The breakfast options were good, you choose from Filipino breakfast, toast or pancakes.
Thank you to the staff for all the helped the provided us during our stay. Like getting us information about bus departures to Puerto Princesa, rates for tricycles to go to Vanilla Beach and more.

Read moreWe stayed at Laule’a hostel for one night on our way to our final location. The hostel was functional, clean and basic. It was a shame that the rooms did not have windows and although the hostel had been recently renovated, there was still building work going on. Also it’s important to note that rooms are up steep steps. Luckily enough, one of the Tuk Tuk drivers helped us with our bags, but it would have been difficult without him. ||||We found the attitude of the staff at the hostel to be less hospitable than the service that we experienced in the rest of the Philippines. ||||Overall was hostel was in a good location and we got what...
