My first Karen review to date...
Management before you reply with a dear sir we attempted to cater, it was to late we already purchased another room on day 8 of our 11 night stay at s hotel due to all the problems, it was to slow, the fact I reached into my pocket and spent and extra 22750p to get away from the place should be a wakeup call, it was truly horrible and by the end we gave up we became so tired and run-down.
Pros ■Good location to pubs, clubs and restaurants. ■Bed is somewhat decent. ■Aircon works. ■Cleaners did a good job.
Cons ■You can hear the elevator every time it's in use. All levels not just the one you've on, if you're on level 4 I feel bad for you, randoms will be on your level trying to get to the restaurant on level 5 and yes thay do come down to level 4 quite often just to have a look with no care. ■Bad plumbing, pipes rattle and rumble all hours of the night. ■Devider room doors to the next room where people are staying are unlocked. (random people trying to open the doors at 11pm at night) ■Was called in the morning by the hotel staff for a tour we didn't even book waking us up. ■Hot water works 50% of the time with it going cold and hot mid way though a shower. ■You can hear every door on your level being closed (it's loud). ■You can hear people in the room next door having a general conversation. ■El Nido being a tourist hotsop for partying, people are coming and going from rooms all hours of the night so with the above expect to woken up like we have almost every night. ■The average sleep I've been having is roughly 6 hours broken due to poor sound insulation. ■On day 8 of our say at s hotel with a total of 11 nights I decided to book another hotel as I was going insane an my holiday destroyed, yes it was money out of my pocked an no idea of a refund but anything is better than this.
Was offered a free stay at s hotel as a sorry, why would we come back if I put myself out to leave? Invite me to the demolition I'll happily attend that.
Probably should renew the elevator cert she kinda...
Read moreI think this place has seen better days. The room we stayed in is so hot even if it was made of wood. I remember waking up several times in those 2 nights because the heat is unbearable. It's not because it's summer because when we transferred in CliffsifeCottages it can get really cold at night I had to turn off the fan and reach for my blanket. The sheets are smelly like someone already used it before us. I saw that the other room had no guests but one of the staffs slept on it one night and just left the other day without changing the sheets. The restroom is untidy too. The staffs are also always grumpy and would attend to your needs like they hate their job. The owner however is nice. I asked the girl at the reception if I could talk to the owner on our second night because we were planning to extend our stay as our original plan is to stay in el nido for 4 nights but can't book the place online (to get the same rate). The girl just said the owner is already asleep and if we have concerns we can just talk directly to them as they can also "decide" on certain matters. She just said someone already booked it online that's why it's already unavailable and that we just have to leave. I told her i need to talk to the owner because I have concerns but she insisted that we talk to her instead. I got so pissed we decided to look for another place to stay (I'M GLAD WE DID). The next day i was able to finally talk to the owner and raised my concern. She right there and then scolded the girl and I can see the glaring eyes of the staff wanting to...
Read moreDisappointing Experience – Misleading Information and Poor Customer Service
I recently stayed at S Resort El Nido Hotel in January 2025 for 6 nights and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected based on the hotel’s official website. • Misleading Room Size Information: The website claims that rooms are 50 m², but in reality, all rooms are only 25 m². This is a serious case of false advertising, as guests are led to believe they are booking a much larger space. • Bathroom Condition: The hotel advertises recently renovated bathrooms, but ours was already in poor condition, with visible signs of wear and damage. • Overpriced for the Actual Experience: We paid 53,000 pesos for six nights, expecting a luxurious and spacious stay. Instead, we found ourselves cramped in a much smaller room, which did not justify the high price. • Poor Customer Service and No Compensation: After noticing these issues, I contacted the hotel and was offered a complimentary breakfast and a massage, which is insufficient given the inconvenience. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received any further compensation or even a proper response from the management.
This kind of misleading advertising damages the reputation of El Nido, Philippines, as a tourist destination, as it creates distrust among visitors. I strongly advise future guests to be aware of these issues before booking.
Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely not, unless they take responsibility and correct these...
