This would be 5* if there has been water to flush in the ladies CR. And before you jump to the conclusion this is an over privileged westerner commenting, I am anything but western in expectations and my Filipina partner had a bad stomach and had to twice return to our hotel in el nido because it did have water while the lack of water in the resto was explained as an "el Nido" problem.
The food is really great and this should be their feature. Only one criticism on my beef kebab dish was that the hummus lacked garlic and lemon juice. It is a slight, tiny criticism, in all my years of eating hummus in the middle east, turkey and Greece, this is the first time the tahini was the prominent flavour. The kebabs were delicious, the cocktails really good. The boneless bangus was so fresh. I am a picky fish eater. Fish has to be caught that day or frozen on the day it is caught otherwise it just smells of the catch of the grim reaper. This fish was so so fresh tasting.
Forgetting the lack of water in the CR, I just wish this place would just be a cocktail lounge and great food establishment but it tries to also be a sports bar and music club with pretty old gen x/y, royalty free music pumped out at gen z "I don't want a convo" levels.
Concentrate on the food and cocktails, you do that so well. Or pump up the music after 10pm. Question how much does your pool table earn Vs the 4 tables that could be in its space
You really do have great food and this would be 5* if you turned the music down a little, invested in a water tank, and focussed on...
Read moreI want to recommend the best and tastiest restaurant in El Nido gap. Besides the delicious food prepared by fedaa , who himself is an amazing, sociable and smiling person, there is also the amazing staff, our loves who made us feel the most at home in the world, saying this as women who were there four times a day for two weeks. Really, as an Israeli, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, you won't regret it for a moment. And on top of all this, the charming manager inspector who, the first second we arrived, treated us the nicest in the world. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every time we welcome everyone who enters with a huge smile and good food. My Israeli friends, you really won't regret the moment you come in, from the delicious shakshuka to the amazing hummus and the perfect pasta. Everything you ask, they will change with the most love in the world. So thank you for making our stay much better. Love Liad and Yuval ❤️ אוהבות אתכם !!! באמת שאנחנו מאוהבות במסעדה מהאוכל...
Read moreI love this place. My husband and i visited this place almost everyday when we were in el nido. The staff were friendly and helpful. The guy who has a penmanship of a doctor whenever he writes down our orders, the lady who's hair was always on a bun, the lady who's originally from Quezon and the supervisor James. It's nice to watch the people from the second floor. Their drinks tasted a little watered down but overall they were ok. I tried vaccinated and it's one of the most interesting presentation of a drink i have ever had. 😆. Their sizzling pork sisig was delicious as well as the sizzling squid. Try them out. :) They play their music too loud which really bugs me, but you can always tell them if it's too much, or if you want it to be turned off, (if you're seated on the second floor)
Just one thought. I saw many stray dogs in El nido. I wish this place would leave water bowls for the dogs. They just look extremely thirsty and they kept...
