STAY AWAY! - WORST SERVICE, UNHYGIENIC FOOD, DATED RESORT. I travel a lot and usually don’t even bother leaving a review but this I had to. The absolute WORST SERVICE ever in all my years of traveling. We got two courtyard villa’s and upon check in the aircon remote control is not given to guests as default. We had to call several times and finally got the AC remote after 3 hours, at which point we found out the AC was broken. Then we found out the pool would be closed for the next few days for a pre planned repair. If it was pre planned, they could have informed all incoming guests before hand.
As per their instructions, we left the keys with the lobby before we head out for our day tour so they could fix the AC. As we arrived in the evening, we were shocked to find the keys sticking outside the door, with the door unlocked. Luckily, nothing was missing, but for maintenance crew to just leave the door ajar after repair absolutely astounds me to the incompetence.
The free breakfast in the restaurant is sickening. We only ate for the first day for their free breakfast and noticed other guests opted to NOT eat either in subsequent days. Oh how about asking for a glass of hot water, for our tea, even that was dirty with stuff floating in the water. Very unhygienic.
In one of the pictures attached, you will see a picture of the lobby and to the left, greeting all guests is trash dumped by the staff. That should tell you all you need to know.
And if you have kids, beware, all outlets in both our villas are open and have not wall plate. Pictures attached. Good Luck!

Upon check out, I called 8AM and asked them to prepare the bill ahead of time, as we had an 8:30AM shuttle for the airport. Arrived at front desk 8:25 and no one in the front desk. I had to go ask staff to find the front desk staff and finally had everything done by 8:45AM causing us to almost miss our flight. And to think, there was no other guest in the lobby but us.
So much incompetence all throughout the resort staff, from top management to bottom crew.

Do not get played by the website, photos, and video vlogs. This is a semi-abandoned hotel. The bathroom in the dining area has unclogged poop and piss everywhere. Dust and sand everywhere. Staff claimed there is a “game room” which is on the second floor, well it’s abandoned. Dust all over the place, broken billiards equipment, staff clothes everywhere, and no electricity. Although, the hotel itself has a great infrastructure and a great view, but the lack of staff and management are the given results that had been inflicted on other guests. The family suite was okay. The bed sheets were clean. The bathroom was okay; hot and cold shower, good pressure of the bidet, and does not lack of shower amenities. But, dusty floors, cabinets, stairs of the bunk bed, and table. The air-con has a weird and rotting smell; maybe it hasn’t been cleaned properly for ages. We have seen TWO COCKROACHES near the bathroom and near the table. Additionally, the door is really hard to open (you use a key, not a keycard). Dusty corridors, dusty bar, and dusty terraces. The restaurant’s food is ASS. Does not have a flexible menu. They are always sold out with certain items on the menu. The breakfast buffet was not flexible as well. What I can recall, they were only FIVE MENU OPTIONS; and the food was served cold. Flies everywhere in the restaurant. Bug poop on some of the chairs. Dusty tables too. Overall, Ass restaurant. Back to the staff management, the front desk was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Even she booked us the island tour hopping. The restaurant staff, not so much professional. Men staff were always just slacking around the restaurant and not knowing what to do. Overall, some staff are unprofessional and unwilling to help. Overall, I did NOT ENJOY my stay here. Things that didn’t make it worth it: I would guess that this place once were quite luxurious, but probably after Covid or something the place looks apocalyptic. There is broken things everywhere, it’s dirty and smells of mold everywhere. The staff also lounges in the restaurant area, which in a smaller hotel is perhaps fine, but when you pay 1000 $ a week, I would expect something more professional.
The breakfast that is included has fried fish heads, yes, fried fish head. There was flies on the fruits, like a whole lot of flies, and the fruit looked old. Half the time we where there, they didn’t have coffee and the juice was just mixed solution with water.
The whole week, we had warm water in the shower once, just once. We also had brown water a whole day and mould was dripping from our AC.
No WiFi in the rooms, only in restaurant and the broken/dirty bar area upstairs, and when you had WiFi, the signal was really bad.
Good things: The place is a 25 minute walk from El nido town, but it does not cost much to rent scooters or a tricycle. The view to the ocean was superb, pool was clean. Staff is nice and welcoming.
What they could do to make it nicer:
Switch up the breakfast. Don’t serve fish heads. Buy coffee if it’s out. Cover the fruits. Buy some real juice.
Properly clean the hotel, all nooks and crannies, remove the cockroaches from the restaurant area in the rocks, remove all the dirty socks and broken furniture in the balcony and play area.
Look up where the moldy smell is coming from, maybe repair the things that needs repairs or replacing (like bar stools or broken tiles).
Warm and clean water would be expected when coming to a resort.
We live in a more digital world nowadays, there is very few hotels without internet/wifi. Could be good to install that in the entire building/the rooms.
