To be fair, the current Pandemic might have affected my overall stay in this Hotel and so is this review.

Setting the expectations of the guests. Well, I've had problems with the housekeeping. First day with them was quite well because I have seen the efforts in the housekeeping. Second day, I wondered why my room seemed to have not been touched despite my request for housekeeping. I had to suffer for a dirty foot towel and so I called frontdesk and they informed me about their housekeeping hours. I did not know this because there were no notices inside the room. Only a memo that talks about curfew hours with the imposed MECQ from Aug 5 to 18. You cant blame me as a guest because your directory card says Frontdesk and Housekeeping are operational 24 Hrs. Had I known that they have updated their ops hours I would not have expected that much and wouldnt have called many times sa Frontdesk plenty times outside their new ops hours.

Telephone line. I had technical problems with their telephone but to be fair they did rectify it naman.

Probably the worst part of my experience here was the quality of food and the service. Availablity of complimentary water is limited which is sad as it is only available during the new ops hours of the food department. I had to buy my own water na lang. Utensils are not even available inside the hotel room. I was told the first day when I called them about this that ops hours for the housekeeping nga daw is updated. So when they served the food sa room ko the first night, I had to use teaspoons. Second day wala pa din despite request. Kung hindi ko pa itinawag ulit they would not have sent disposable utensils on my Second night. Last day, I had to use teaspoon again kasi alangan namang gamitin ko ulit yung tinapon ko na sa basurahan na utensils. Mapapatanong ka talaga about the use of Disposable Utensils sa hotel na ito and would make you wonder if your stay is worth the price. I would not elaborate further on this because I have already informed the frontdesk during my checkout, but the food, is not so great.

Roomwise, it is big, even the comfort room is big.

I suggest they install a telephone line near the bed. For convenience purposes.

I would like to say that they did their best naman pero I really cant vouch that much..

I wonder what their services would have been if this pandemic had not occur.

UPDATE as of 25 September 2020

I was surprised to have been treated so greatly on my return.

The receiving lady at the frontdesk made sure that I was briefed exactly the way I wanted to be briefed regarding hotel operating procedures with the current pandemic.

She even offered me breakfast while I waited for my room to be ready. I just asked for a bottle of water tho.

I was even escorted to the elevator.

Upon entering my room, blimey, there are utensils, pans, and other stuff including a Water Dispenser! The food quality even improved.

When my friend visited my room, sabi niya he wants a dispenser too because he does not have one in his room even if he's been there for almost a month na. Well I told him he could have asked because there's no harm in trying. Though asking for the hotel to provide water dispensers to every room might be a bit too much, I thought that maybe I could just ask the front desk upon checkout to transfer the water dispenser. And I did. Eventually my friend told me that he got the water dispenser.

But what really caught my attention was the effort put together to the details I have highlighted on my previous review. The amount of customer service I got on my second stay is quite enough for me to give this hotel...

The Quarantine Review! Good: Spacious room with step out balcony (important for quarantine sanity); bed linens and towels, AC, TV, Restaurant menu and reliable water delivery service, clean kitchenette with basic compliment of cooking utensils (sans spices/oils). Strong and reliable (albeit unsecured) wifi signal for video chatting with loved ones. Courteous staff and quiet / decent sound proof walls.

Bad: communication about acquiring DOH Quarantine certificate was not consistent with staff; instructions of one-time delivery of quarantine items very restrictive and poorly communicated (one moment it’s a courtesy another it’s presented as a rule); Their prefixed quarantine menu is disappointing- it’s coming from the same kitchen as the restaurant menu - but its quality is a stark and poor contrast to the facility itself.

Traveler Recommendations: skip the quarantine prefixed menu - better experience and value when ordering directly from their menu - you can actually stretch meals and save money; prearrange a large one time delivery of basics (breakfast foods/ snacks, cooking oils / spices, dish soap).

Hotel improvement suggestions: upfront communication to guests as to how staff support in obtaining their quarantine certificate - and follow it the same way every time for every guest. Reconsider the food quality of the prefixed menu - not worth the cost compared to the restaurant menu. Delivery restrictions: consider a little flexibility for travelers - who have picked your hotel to be a captive guest - to prepare / make arrangements to have delivery of their quarantine items. Having it only at checkin and being told it was a courtesy then later a rule sends a poor message: too bad you’re stuck with us. Lastly while generally clean consider more attention to cleaning some wall areas (from eye level down): wiping visible spills and stains.

Overall: With a skeleton crew, good restaurant menu, accessible balcony and comfortable quarters and linens The Picasso is a good stay for quarantine. The few but significant shortcomings mentioned above can be avoided and I’m confident with enough preparation you can enjoy your...

The minute I checked in I was informed that there would be no 24/7 front desk which is completely different from what is advertised on the website. I have an unconventional work schedule where I have to work nights. If I knew before the fact that front desk closes at 10pm or that deliveries are not allowed after 8 I would have never booked this hotel.

If you are stuck in quarantine I would strongly not recommend this hotel. You have to follow a strict eating schedule if staying in this hotel. And if you were looking forward to trying out the great food in the surrounding area be prepared to only be allowed deliveries during a 1 or 2 hour time frame. Even then expect the food to get to you extra late. Deliveries take upwards of almost 1 hour to get from front desk to the room. Make sure you also order water ahead of time you get 1 bottle of water per day which is obviously not enough expect to order overpriced bottles of water which at times took 2 hours to deliver! They are sorely understaffed and under prepared for the quarantine.

None of the notes I made where followed. in fact my first couple of days was so uncomfortable I ended up having to take a vacation day from work to recover. As stated I work nights and ask to not be disturbed in the mornings since I would be sleeping. My 2nd day I was woken up by loud banging and shouting of housekeeping for food delivery leaving me with 2 hours of sleep for the rest of the day. I made a call and added the do not disturb sign but the same thing happened the next day! And would happen on and off in subsequent days. I also made a note regarding not being able to eat seafood but fish was still delivered to the room.

And last of all the inconvenience follows you post check out. Be sure to double check your bill before checking out. I was called late at night the day I checked out regarding a mistake THEY MADE in the bill and we're asking to charge me for the mistake.

Overall the rooms look great but completely not worth the trouble of the service provided. Would not recommend...

I love the balcony except for the noises from the construction across it. Also they lend me a studio room as per early check-in to wait for my supposed room. No refundable cash deposit needed. I quarantined in their Malago Superior room which has soft and relaxing homey atmosphere. Sanitation kit was abundantly provided. I like bottled water is provided everyday on the chair outside even if is not requested prior, they knew a bottle is not enough for a day. Bedroom/bathroom linens also given on the 4th day without asking for it. I love those automatic services! Welcoming and friendly staffs especially the ones who bring us everything we need upstairs, housekeeping and the guards. They greet you smiles wholeheartedly all the time. Very helpful also. They will help you obtain your BOQ and print it for you as well. I highly recommend Paul from the F.O. very accommodating compared to others I'am sorry for comparing I just observed others were little stubborn I just don't know if their on a bad day or something I feel it also while talking to the phone. I even saw a not so tiny cockroach in a studio room and does not have a drainer in the powder area/toilet area. Despite I enjoyed my quarantine stay with you. I would love to stay with you again in the near future. Thank you Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences :) God bless you all. Keep safe always!
