Read moreWe went there around 10am from QC. It looks like a nice place to visit on a Sunday morning.
There were lots of stalls to buy food and drinks. All looking tasty and refreshing. I started with a large size gulaman drink for a 100 pesos.
Now see, I would understand it if it was a drink with fruits and vegetables. But for sugar and water, well, I thought it was a bit too much.
My fault though, as I ordered first before asking for the price.
When we decided to eat, we started to look for a table and some chairs, before we order, as there were five of us. Sadly there were only a few and all were occupied. We tried the "share a seat, win a friend" approach to no avail.
Hence, we just decided to walk to Glorietta and have a proper lunch. All in the comfort of an a/c, staff, cleaned table, cold water and utensils. It was just a 7 minute walk.
Back to the market, one particular thing I liked was that cabinet where you can give a book and take one. The titles were quite interesting.
My wife liked the summer dresses.
Too bad we were not able to stay longer as it was close to lunch and the heat was getting unbearable.
Will we go again? Maybe, but not right away. I guess it's catered more for the nearby residents and visitors.
All in all, in the short time we were there, I'd say, not worth the travel. But once you get there, if you're okay with the heat and the limited space to eat, it can be an interesting experience. Lots of local fare that definitely worth supporting.
Just need to figure out where to go next...
