The Strand is a wonderful, small hotel...it is located in a local neighborhood about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach....the staff are fantastic..... they are kind, warm, helpful and make you feel quite welcome.....the breakfast is delicious as well as all of their food in the lovely dining area....the grounds are very tropical....we even spied monkeys on the trees outside of our giant one bedroom suite....the balcony is huge with a couch, table, two chairs and a drying rack....the living/kitchen is larger than most hotel rooms....I was promised that microwaves and dishes are on their way...the bedroom is also large with a separate shower and toilet room.....all of the hotel is spotless....the pool and covered area next to the pool could use a little sprucing up....also service at the pool would be great....although they may do it and I missed it....yes, you can hear roosters and dogs during the day, but it certainly wasn't an issue at night....the resort is small and super quiet.... just what we wanted.... the only negative is their tuk tuk service to D Mall....it should be daily, later than 6:00PM and round trip... I would return in a heartbeat if I ever visiting to Boracay again...it felt like home...thanks again the the ultimate hotel staff......
Read moreBeautiful little hotel at the north end of station 1 in Boracay. White beach is a 2 minute walk, diniwid beach is 5 minutes from the hotel. The night-life district in station 2 and 3 is a 20 minute walk, but you can always easily order a trike. The hotel itself is a row of old-style two-story houses along a very large and green garden area. There is a small pool, facilities for getting a massage and a kitchen for all day dining and room service. Breakfast is served evey day in a restaurant area next to the pool. The food is actually quite good, i recommend testing a few of the items on their menu. The rooms are very spacious, well ventilated and air conditioned. The area around the hotel is very quiet, so it is easy to get a good nights sleep. The staff is super friendly and will help you with literally anything. Only downside is the poorly illuminated 150m footway between the hotel and white beach, that might be a bit unsettling at night. Also the road to the hotel is narrow and under construction. In summary i really enjoyed my stay at The Strand and can fully recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and upscale accomodation away from the buzz and noice of the party...
Read moreWe just spent 10 nights at The Strand Boutique Hotel in Boracay with our 2 young children. What a wonderful place to stay! We felt so looked after. Beautiful location of station 1 - a 1 minute walk to the Silica sands of white beach, walking through the friendly neighbourhood. |We stayed in the Penthouse Suite which was so comfortable and newly renovated- it was perfect for my husband and I, our 2 and 5 year olds and my mum. So spacious and beautiful. |The restaurant - we looked forward to visiting the restaurant every day, so relaxing and the staff were so wonderful! Chef Ton was amazing preparing the freshest flavourful food! Once he realised I loved eating the local food there was a new Filipino soup each morning- amazing!|Nothing was too much! Our children adored all the staff and the staff were so thrilled to see them all the time. |We had just the most magical holiday - we don’t like the mega touristy aspect of Boracay at station 2 and 3 and this sheltered us from that circus! We love coming to Boracay island so much and there’s so much peace and beauty to be found!|Thank you so much to everyone at The Strand....
