Stayed from 21-24 April, checked out on 25 April.
Pros: Reception upon check in made us feel really welcome, with cold towels and cold juices given out. Their front desk is so refreshing to the eyes and there is a huge fan that creates a gentle breeze in the area.
Rooms are huge! There were 6 of us (3 adults and 3 children age range 7-11 years and they are not that big, the 2 younger kids can easily fit on a single bed). The first room had a separate dining area and kitchen sink with dishwashing sponge and soap. 2 huge double beds (I think) are there which can fit 2 adults each bed, and we could have just requested for an extra single bed as well since the room is so spacious. Second room was also huge and spacious. They provide an umbrella and flip flops and a clothes rack (our rooms don’t have a balcony, they overlook the pool).
Pool area is kid-friendly, with one pool that could be for kids as it is shallow. That area also has its own loungers and table with umbrella. The main pool is clean and tiling is pretty with small blue lights that make it seem like the pool is sparkling at night. There is always a lifeguard who makes sure the deck area is dry as he keeps mopping up the water splashing.
Breakfast in the restaurant- food is tasty and while it seems limited, for us it was enough. There is an area for the “heavy breakfast” items such as rice, noodles, a main dish (we had adobo, pork longganisa, daing na bangus ), soup, boiled eggs; then the other area with the “continental” type such as breads, pancake, fruits; coffee, juice, water, condiments; then there is an egg station.
Staff- friendly and welcoming upon check in; whenever we pass by some staff, no one fails to greet us a “good morning, afternoon..” they’re so polite. From the pick up upon arrival, requests in between such as shuttle to dmall or somewhere else, they accommodated us when they are able, until we were dropped off at the port as well upon departure. Everyone was so polite.
Cons: Only minor stuff like having to walk up and down a flight of stairs to go to the beach. It’s fine for a “normal” adult, but for a senior or younger kids, we had to adjust to match their pace or try to be patient with complaints.
Unfortunately as well for us that we had to pay for the missing hand towel which was supposedly there in the first room. It was there but we didn’t notice if maybe housekeeping failed to replace it on the following days they made up the room. It’s now a lesson for us that we should check the room after housekeeping comes to clean and see if their stuff is still there (esp towels).
Overall we had a terrific time in this paradise called Boracay, thanks to the Pinnacle staff and for its great rooms and facilities. We...
Read moreIf you don't mind the distance from where most of the restos and bars are and have the knees to walk up a long flight of stairs everytime you need to go "home", this is a very good hotel at the very edge of station 1.
Located behind The Lind (same owner), this is a modern hotel with good amenities.
Brrakfast was just ok. Very limited choices. No bacon. Coffee was good. Only problem were the mosquitoes. They just leave the doors open kasi the whole day. It's kind of a no brainer to just close it so there would be no need to put mosquito zappers all around and hear the pops every morning.
The pool was deserted most of the time. We felt as if we had it to ourselves exclusively.
Food selection was very very limited. Such a shame since their Cheese pizza was superb! And at such a low price. Very cheesy. Beer was reasonably priced. If they had nore offerings, I'm pretty sure we would have just ordered in most of the time. It was such a hassle to go and ride the e-jeeps and shuttles to and from the hotels to the restos. And walking was even harder.
They have a shuttle supposedly on call but we only got to use this service a couple of times. Most of the time they weren't available. They should probably add more vehicles and drivers. Again, this is very far from Station 2. Old folks, kids and people with leg problems will have a hard time going up the stairs to the hotel.
The rooms were surprisingly spacious and reasonably priced (when we stayed there). What's weird is they don't have any cabinets. They likewise don't have doors to the restrooms. I get it. This is the reason why the rooms are big. But it'd be very hard to dress up especially if you weren't with family members. The floors have rough tiles. Not really comfortable walking barefoot with the sand almost always present. Slippers should be provided. Lastly, the toothbrushes provided should be changed into a more durable one. One use and the bristles are all bent up and hardly reusable. Maybe provide a more durable one to lessen the carbon footprint.
Tip: You can use the tables (not the umbrellas) in front of The Lind as a base for belongings when you want to use the beach in front of The Lind.
Service is impeccable! We never had a problem with the staff starting from the time we booked online. Very accomodating and attentive. A pleasant surprise.
If you prefer the exclusivity of Station one and don't mind the distance from the center of the island, this is a very good...
Read moreThe Pinnacle Boracay is one of the best budget hotels within Boracay Station 1. Overall, the experience with them is exceptional, having booked everything from them, from airport transfers, accommodation and even some arrangements when going in and out from the hotel.
Their staff are very accommodating, joyful and very consistent, from anyone you will see around. The manager and supervisor would even assist and check on you from time-to-time. The airport transfer from and to the hotel is also very good. They will assist you every step of the way, making your way through without hassle of talking to locals, and buying your own passes and tickets. From their van, the boat and up to the hotel, there was no hassle at all. Even the price of the transfer is very reasonable.
We booked a bigger room since we are 7 in the family, 5 adults and 2 kids. Their rooms are very spacious, elegant, and not to mention their very comfy bed. They have a Wi-Fi access, which has fair speed, compared to most hotels, and the rooms are even equipped with Smart TV's so the kids get to watch youtube on the big screen.
All surrounding areas are clean, from lobby, hallways, elevators, and other common areas. Even the pool is clean. It is surprisingly chlorine-free, crystal clear and has window hours wherein you can swim away from the sun to avoid sunburn!!! =))
Their breakfast buffet will keep you eating for more than an hour. =)) So much for going on diet for the so called beach body, and then goes hotel breakfast. They cook good food, and special mention to their consistent tasty corned beef. It's not as much selection like other hotels, but it will surely keep your tummy full because you'll end up eating yummy food still.
They share the same beach front with The Lind Hotel. But it doesn't matter since this side of the island is the most peaceful area. It is where you can sit on the sand, relax, and enjoy fresh air and the waves without having to think of so many people passing by, roaming around, and offering a lot of things. True as they say, fine sands it is that makes it one of the world's best destination.
Overall, I give them a perfect rating. Yes by default, there is always room for improvement. But for the most part, their service to us already exceeded the...
