Stayed here for 4 nights with a group of friends - twin rooms were provided we were welcomed with an english speaking receptionist which was helpful. We were given a room card for each room (strange that there weren't two - we enquired and they were strict on only 1 per room). ||||We were situated on the 1st floor - with a room facing inwards (so not much in the way of a view). The rooms were very tidy and clean albeit a bit dark from the wood panelled walls. Rooms did not have: Iron, safe nor anything in the fridge. However, there was a very nice bathroom with a sizeable shower and tea making facilities in the room as well as a TV. The TV only had 1 english channel BBC World News which was fine. ||||The breakfast options at the hotel are typically european with cold meats and cheese and tomatoes options. Bread, cereal and a few bakery products were also available. Tea and coffee was available, although not very nice at all. Juice, milk and water were also freely available. It would be great if they had labels for the food though.||||The hotel staff were accommodating where we spoke to them for extra toilet roll/ coffee/creamer. ||||Important to note: they do not clean your room unless you explicitly ask them to which worked out well for us as we weren't too fussed. There are a number of local shops a minutes walk from the hotel if you require anything and a 5 minute walk to the huge shopping centre attached the the Krakow-Glowny train station which was 20 minutes train ride from the Airport.||||Overall - this hotel was a great location for us and offered everything we needed. As we were located facing away from the train tracks, i can't say I heard any trains that kept me up. I would stay here again but probably not for 4 nights. Great value, I would recommend it to anyone looking to be close to the centre of...
Read moreWorst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bed was 2/10 very low and basic. Advertised as safety deposit box in room...no you have to leave anything with staff at front desk to be put into one safe they have. No ironing facilities unless pay for the service. Faulty electric sockets next to bed. Air con didn't work properly. Mini fridge didn't work at all so any water or drinks we had couldnt be kept cold. Television signal was sporadic and would screen freeze. We only use tv when away from home to watch morning and evening news but that was impossible. Thankfully in the age of mobile phones we could find out news from watching it from our mobile telephone. Key card entry would take several attempts and only one card issued per room which also activated electrics so if partner went out had to answer door to let them back jnto room otherwise no electricity if you gave them card to go out if you stayed indoors . Had to ask everyday at reception for clean towels...not issued as a given. Breakfast 1/10 only decent thing was coffee.(the continental style breakfast was sparse and even the croissants were miniature.) , therefore we only tried once and ate breakfast elsewhere . Reveption staff were pleasant enough but conversation wise they struggled to understand basic english.(ie when asking for fresh towels they thought we were asking for toilet roll/tissue. Overall a bad experience. Tried contacting our booking agent/company but due to hiliday weekend no answer. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointing for our...
Read moreTo say the place wasn't great would be an understatement. The rooms are very small, outdated and not at all what they look like on the website. The "food" is genuinely repulsive and seems the resemble the vomit coming out of my mouth as I turned down the street in which the hotel is situated. The "heating" resembles a coughing asthmatic. The hotel manager may well be the most unfriendly person I've ever met, and the only thing higher than the waitresses skirts were the guests staying next door to my room. In a desperate attempt to escape the hateful, beige interior, I decided that the T.V could be a viable entertainment solution. My mind was quickly changed when the only channels I could find included cinematic pornography and some weird polish drama. The hotel is right next to a railway line which is VERY loud and really will keep you awake. The windows swing open all the way (even on the 4th floor), posing a huge danger to small children but really anyone. Between the shuddering screech of the inter-city trains you can just hear the sad splatter of a vomiting tramp slumped against the hotel wall. Coming from a real customer: please, PLEASE! do not stay at this place. If you in any way value your sleep, silence, dignity or value for money, you would stay...
