I recently had the privilege of taking the Schindler’s Factory tour, and it was an unforgettable experience thanks to Dominica, our amazing tour guide. While I came across a one-star review from about five years ago that pointed out challenges with pacing and museum policies, I believe it’s important to give credit where it’s due.
Yes, we moved quickly through the museum, but this was not the fault of the tour company. When I visited, the museum had actually double-booked our group alongside another group of 500 visitors. Despite these external challenges, Dominica didn’t miss a beat. She skillfully navigated the crowds, delivered engaging commentary, and made every effort to answer questions along the way.
The tour did feel like being on a busy golf course—you’re waiting on the group in front while the group behind is waiting on you. But this isn’t a reflection of the tour guide’s abilities; it’s a logistical reality of such a popular museum. To address lingering questions, I booked the former Jewish Ghetto tour immediately after, which provided more opportunities for discussion. Dominica stayed until every single question was answered, going above and beyond to ensure a meaningful experience.
At 40 Euro for three hours, this tour was one of the most fascinating, important, and educational experiences of my life—an incredible value. While there’s merit in exploring the museum at your own pace, I’d recommend doing the guided tour first and then returning later if you want to dive deeper.
Regarding the museum’s policy of charging for a separate ticket to re-enter, that’s beyond the control of the tour operator and shouldn’t impact their rating. Dominica and the team at Excursions City deserve five stars for their professionalism, dedication, and passion for sharing this...

Visiting Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory museum with our family was an incredibly moving and insightful experience. While the museum bears Schindler’s name, it is much more than just his story—it offers a comprehensive look at Krakow during World War II, the Nazi occupation of Poland, the Holocaust, and the far-reaching aftermath of the war.
Our guide, Filip Gostevs, was outstanding. His deep knowledge of the history of Krakow and the broader context of WWII was evident throughout the tour. He presented complex and emotional topics in a way that was accessible and engaging for everyone in our group. Filip’s thoughtful storytelling brought the exhibits to life while honoring the gravity of the subject matter.
The museum is thoughtfully designed and was fully accessible for our father-in-law, who has difficulty walking. This made the visit much more comfortable and inclusive for all of us.
This is not a lighthearted outing, but it is an essential one—sobering, thought-provoking, and deeply educational. We are grateful for the opportunity to have learned so much in such a meaningful way, and we highly recommend both the museum and Filip as a guide for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of this important...
Read moreThe guide was very enthusiastic and invested in her tour. I was disappointed I couldn’t tip her as I only had a 100 zloty note. She was interactive, vibrant, a strong personality and somehow I found this a much better experience than Auschwitz-Birkenau due to her positive personality.
It’s not a tour about the Schindler factory and Schindler per se - he has a very minor part - rather it’s about the Krakow/Polish/Ghetto experience of Nazi occupation. I think the tour could be better advertised, as the name creates expectations that aren’t met, possibly leading to disappointment: perhaps a subtitle “the Nazi occupation of Krakow” would at least signal to people what the museum is about. But on its own terms, and especially with the flavour of guide I had, I appreciated the museum.
I literally got to the museum, saw the long line for tickets, and booked this tour online starting immediately - I didn’t even have time to relieve myself before the tour started! a guide contacted me immediately by phone as soon as I had booked to let me know where the tour group was gathered. Very impressed by the organisation and how they didn’t...
