We originally booked here for a week but only spent two nights and moved last minute||We knew the bed would be up some steps in the room.. But it was HIGH.. I don't want to complain about that though as we kind of expected that.. This wasn't the issue..||There was no door to the bathroom /toilet.. Just a curtain..|The toilet didn't flush.. We asked a member of staff to have a look and to be fair, she wasn't a plumber.. So wasn't able to help.. My husband fixed the toilet... Not something we expected to have to do..|The towels in the bathroom were really smelly, the smelt damp and musty|After my shower, within 5 minutes my feet were black from the dirty floors.|The heater was stuck On.. It was 18 degrees outside, and with the bed being high up, the heat was rising and it was very uncomfortable..|There's are about 5 flights of stairs to get to the rooms, we didn't mind this but some people might have difficulty with this.|The chair/sofa in the room was broken, we almost fell through it a few times so decided not to use it again. |The tap in the bathroom was faulty, when switched on water splashed everywhere..||This was not a good stay at all.. We got our money back for the nights we cancelled however the first two nights were even a waste of money, sorry to be so harsh but the standards lacked, and didn't resemble anything in the...
Read moreExcellent location. About a 5 minute walk to the Old Town Main Square and 5 minutes to the Jewish Quarter. The hostel occupies the top floor of the building. I had a double room No. 8 with en-suite that faced the rear courtyard.||||The bed was on a high level (mezzanine). Very solid and surprisingly comfortable. ||The shower was quite roomy and water was always hot.|| ||There is a main kitchen that you can use but the corridor outside my room had a small kitchenette area where you can boil a kettle and keep food in a fridge. ||||You can leave your luggage in the reception area if you check-in early or leave late after check-out.||||They don’t do breakfast but a few doors down from the hostel is the Mo-ja Cafe which do a wide variety of meals. They open early at 8:00am (9am weekends). ||||Only complaint would be the Wi-Fi. At times it would be OK, suitable for watching YouTube or live streams but it would then change to very slow speed only suitable for light web browsing.||||Overall for the price, an excellent place to stay in a perfect location, clean, comfortable and...
Read moreIt is 5 minutes walk from the main square and 8 minutes walk to the Jewish quarter.||Travelled as a couple and stayed in two different rooms in the span of two days.||||Both rooms were very clean! But they lack of air-conditioning during the summer hot day, so bring yourself a portable fan ( which we did and had no problem sleeping at all ).||||One of the room we sleep in has a terrace view. Nothing spectacular there but you can have a nice drink with another room dwellers while looking at the stars.||||The room facing the traffic can be noisy which other reviewers have mentioned albeit me and my girlfriend has no problem with the noise at all, it is almost non-existent.||||The way up to the hostel is creepy especially at night.||||I have to really shout-out to the receptionist who works for the morning shift. She is so helpful when we were transferring to another room. Too bad we didn't...
