Be cautious & check your bill very well before paying! I was a part of a 6-people dinner party this weekend. We had a delicious dinner, food was very good. Service was fast and efficient, and our waiter, apart from trying hard on selling us pricey snow crab legs, kept asking multiple times if everything was fine. At the end we got a check, PLN1963 total. Quite a number, however we did have a lot of food and had expected to pay around 1500. We split the check into two card payments without really going through each item. After the payments were done our waiter, named Marcin as far as I remember, took the paper receipt away saying he's got to split it into two with the cashier since there were two card payments (hmm?), but one of us asked to just let him take a picture so he could later get it reimbursed. Later in the evening we checked the bill. You would be surprised what various items did we find that we had never ordered. Seafood pasta, oysters, seafood special, shrimps, multiple 4 zloty lemons we had never asked for. Total PLN 390 in stuff we had never ordered, nor received. One of us called the restaurant saying how we feel about paying for stuff we have never bought. The person on the other side of the phone immediately apologized and we got the PLN300 blik return in like 5 minutes, directly from apersonal bank account of the waiter. The other person from our party, after doing more thorough calculations called again saying it was actually 390, not just 300. The waiter once again apologized, and we got another PLN90 in like no time, again directly from a private bank account of the same person. Well, they did what we expected them to do, but do I feel OK with that? Haven't we caught them trying to steal from us, would we get our money back? Food was great, but my own level of trust towards the staff there is -100 on a scale from 1 to 10. So if you decide to eat there, just be very cautious when paying. The prices are exorbitant, so they feel OK adding a hundred...
Read moreIf you are a TOURIST, WATCH OUT!! Most over rated place in Warsaw. The branch in Sopot is way nicer in terms of everything. Once they see you are not polish, expect weird items on the menu from charges and fees! So we ordered 5+1 oysters, mussels, 6 pieces of shrimps, and Cesar salad with chicken and 2 glasses of wine. We finished eating and the salad didn't come yet, so we asked the waiter and said that its still not done, so we canceled it (He didn't even put on the list). And then comes the bill and here is the shocking part, the total was 700zl? We were SHOCKED and it was a total rip off. First of all, they started putting dishes that we didn't order, for example, we ordered those 6 shrimps, they added side salad and placed it under the shrimps and veggies, so they charged us for those and we didn't even order them! The price of the oysters were the most expensive and not even listed on the menu, so they can play with the prices! Sorry but Poland isn't the country of seafood and you are charging that much, so there are many mistakes in the restaurant and the municipality should visit you! once the bill came, the waiter directly places the card machine in my face, so that I don't revise the bill and see whats wrong, then I tell him can you move away a bit i need to read, he insisted and kept approaching and giving me the card machine. He put me in a bad position and all his act are on purpose. The waiter didn't respect himself honestly and need to be supervised. In addition to that, they tend to be show offs and high class, but please not on us, because if we wanted to act that way, we would walk out the restaurant without paying any penny! We had double of everything in Sopot and the bill wasn't that bad. You ruined your reputation Mr. Seafood station! So take care people...
Read moreFrom the moment, my husband, and I walked in, we adored the cool 😎 open space vibe of this Warsaw Seafood Brassiere.
We were offered a cozy corner table surrounded by windows. Our waiter “Marcin” immediately greeted us and offered to take our coats. We found this to be a refreshingly nice touch and ever rarer these days.
We started with the Paris Krystal caviar, which was delightfully presented and extremely fresh. We paired the caviar with a delightful Italian rosé and French Chablis.
Next up, I had the spicy octopus soup which was both flavorful and had the right level of spice. My husband took Marcin’s recommendation for a creatively presented (in escargot cast iron pan), broiled shrimps with Gruyère cheese. I too, was highly skeptical as normally I would not combine cheese with seafood, however, this really worked.
Next, I enjoyed the seven prawn chili 🌶️ which was full flavored and perfectly cooked. My husband decided to give the fish and chips a try, which was authentically presented and accompanied with mushy peas.
Without question, we will be returning to this fantastic seafood restaurant, and found ourselves asking why Zurich doesn’t have such a sensational, seafood brasserie?
Time and time again, we become convinced that Warsaw is one of the best kept...
