I suspect this is an illegal business as there is no sign outside or on the bell downstairs that it's an accommodation. It's by no means a 3 star hotel, as indicated in Google, but rather a badly managed hostel where some residents help out receiving guests for a discounted stay as there's no reception. An ugly way to use young people! We arrived in the morning after a long flight and were not welcome to stay in the common area until the official check in time at 2 pm. We also were not allowed to leave our luggage after check out... The double room was very small and had an unpleasant smell. Other places that charge the same include an electric cattle with some Nescafé and teabags, here there was nothing. The kitchen was locked in the morning too. The place is close to the metro but far from tourist attractions. Overall, not...

There’s cameras EVERYWHERE, the host demanded payment in cash as soon as we stepped into the room (which was more than stated initially), rules seemed to change constantly (it was stressed there was a female and male only bathrooms yet the male residents constantly used the “female only” bathroom which made for uncomfortable situations and alongside that, left it smelly and dirty after use, window blinds do not work and got stuck so they were not adjustable, thin walls which make for no privacy whatsoever, felt unsafe staying there as it was easy to feel paranoid and uncomfortable.||Overall: very shady and weird energy; I would not class it as a hostel or...
Read moreI spent a few weeks at this hostel, which quickly felt like a second home thanks to the friendly people and welcoming atmosphere. The beds in the shared dorms are comfortable, equipped with curtains and light for more privacy and storage for longer stays. The kitchen is very clean and well-equipped. While it’s not located in the historic center, several metro stations and supermarkets are within walking distance. Right across the street is the Gulbenkian Museum with its beautiful, spacious garden. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, and a big thanks to Adriana, who always kept everything spotless. She was very friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Highly...
