Update: slow, non-smiling and very INEFFICIENT staff… Finally my turn to order for a takeaway bagel and mentioned that I was in a rush but still waited for almost 30 minutes??? For a takeaway bagel??? The yoghurt here is amazing!!! It’s all just a bit pricy to be honest, so good to come once in a while… Every yoghurt topping for example costs 50 cents extra… They also have a breakfast menu for ‘one person’ but the quantity was way too much, I’d recommend sharing with someone else. Quality was good. Coffee was also ok. Service friendliness depends on the mood of the staff, I’ve had varying experiences here

What a perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch spot near a hotel area. This cafe was just a short what from the hotel I was staying at during my Portugal visit. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and the staff are friendly. English is not typically the second language of most, so be prepared to speak clearly on your order. You order at the counter and your food and drinks are delivered to your table. Menus are available in English upon request. Everything is made fresh, and portion sizes are just right. I would definitely recommend brunching here.

Delicious food! I kept smelling the waffles and they smelt devine, so I'd recommend those even though I didn't eat them! There's a couple of vegetarian options, but you'll have to omit some foods if you want it vegan. I asked for no cheese on my sandwich, so it was just tomato and argula. The bread was very tough, but tasty. My mum had an open rye bread sandwich with shrimps and avocado, and very much enjoyed it Obviously, you can't go here and not have yogurt. The berries were tart, but the compote at the bottom sweetened it up.

Leitaria Lisboa (Lisboa Milk Shop in English) is a nice and quiet spot for having breakfast or grab a bite. Obviously, on the Menu you will find a wide selection of Milk shakes and Iogurts plus the usual pastries and sandwiches. Both of the Prix Fixe Brunches to share (12€ or 18€ for two persons), are a really good value for money option and fortunately you can order them 7 days a week. The food is of a quite fine quality with all dairy products being pretty good. On the other hand, the butter croissant was less tasty and far from what a truly French croissant is. Overall, this is a good place for a quick breakfast or light meal. Pros: Brunch served 7/7 days a week, interesting "Prix fixe" menus, bright inside with a nice decor plus a small outdoor terrace for sunny days. Cons: For those who don't speak Portuguese it can be quite difficult to get any "extra" information related to ingredients, etc. At the time of this visit none of the staff members...

Not impressed. The sweets are run-of-the-mill at best and stale at worst, the coffee (served in very small cups) doesn't taste, and the interior design seems to me more frigid than cool, making for noisy acoustics. When I bought milk, saying I wanted regular, not low-fat, they gave me meio-gordo... It also doesn't help that their web site still doesn't say that their Ribeira store is closed, after several weeks. Google added my 'temporarily closed' suggestion within minutes. But the owners couldn't bother to act, despite my phone call (to find out, when standing in front of the locked door, which didn't even have a sign), my suggestion using their online form, and my friendly reminder a week ago in the Artilharia store... I guess they don't mind loosing potential...
