Hotel Mira D'Aire — Hotel in Porto

It was a trip for friends and we were given the room right at the entrance. It is funny how you are in the hotel but outside the reception door. Anyways, when got there we realised that the room was not prepared for all of us, hence not everyone had towels. We had to ask for them. And when we did get them and wanted to use them later, realised that two out of three were with dust/dirt marks on them and were not fresh, but old overused towels. Disgusting. For the rest of the night spent there, we had to inspect the towels are we did not trust the cleanliness anymore. While the room itself was not bad, but the bedside table lamp was in bad shape, the tiny basket where a plastic cup was (again, not corresponding to the number of people arriving), it had a dirty little handkerchief at its base. The walls are thin in spite of seemingly double window. Dont count on it, it is not sound proofed. I could not sleep for the entire duration of the stay and on the last morning since early in the morning I could hear the bell from the reception as if it was next to me. Not sure how this place got their certificate of excellence prior to this. One thing is sure, I wont be coming back. For the price, it was a horrible experience for someone who was at least looking for basic...

our flight was so early, but we could check in earlier to the room without any problem, the lady in the reception was very helpful and friendly, she gave us information about what we should see in Porto and explained how to go around the city. The room didn't look like a 2 stars hotel, but I could say it was almost like 4 stars hotel room because it's well furnished and new. Flat TV, AC, hairdryer, water kettle, got everything you need. The location is perfect, near bus station and metro Lapa, little bit exhausted if you walk to the old town. The price was affordable. The only thing that's disappointing is just the wifi connection in our room...

Après 2 semaines de visite de l'Algarve, nous avons fait étape pour 2 jours 1 nuit à Porto. Hotel réservé par booking 3 semaines avant l'arrivée, 110 € pour 4, petit déjeuners compris.||L’hôtel est très bien situé, proche du centre et possibilité de garer la voiture dans un parking fermé et sécurisé (une dizaine d'euros la nuit).||L'accueil a été simple mais efficace. Réceptionniste parlait parfaitement l'anglais.||La chambre; au style un peu vieillot mais à la literie de qualité.||Avons eu la chambre familiale coté rue; avec 3 lits (1 lit 140 + 2 lits 90). Draps et serviettes propres. Sanitaires avec baignoire et lavabo simple vasque.||Présence d'un petit frigo pour faire patienter nos produits frais, et possibilité de laisser nos pains de glace à la réception, pour la glacière le lendemain.||L’hôtel est à 10 minutes à pied (par rues calmes) du centre ville (Livraria Lello) et 25 minutes des quais (restos et cafés).||Petit déjeuner copieux (à volonté) et varié (classiques boissons chaudes jus d'orange pain viennoiserie et aussi charcuterie). La salle commune est tristounette (en sous sol, coté jardin, mais avec fenêtre en hauteur, ne permettant pas de profiter de la verdure...).||La grande station de métro "Trindad" est à 8 minutes à pied (par rues calmes) et permet d'emprunter la ligne qui passe sur le célèbre pont D. LUIS.||Je peux vous conseiller notre petit périple : départ de l’hôtel à pied, pris le métro "orange" pour 3 arrêts : Trindad - Jardim do morro pour descendre après le pont D. Luis. De là, superbe point de vue sur la Douro, et le quai des restos.||On peut descendre (pied ou funiculaire) aux caves en dessous, puis rentrer tranquillement à l’hôtel en voyant des sites remarquables (la cathédrale, l’hôtel de ville...)||En résumé, hôtel choisi pour son emplacement. A ce prix là, c'est pas du Hilton, mais correspondait à ce que nous recherchions (emplacement+chambre...
