Our stay at Tipografia do Conto was one of the absolute highlights of our Portugal journey. This boutique hotel is a design lover’s dream - stylish, sleek, and infused with creativity. Every corner of the property feels like a curated experience, from the typography-inspired architectural details to the warm, minimalistic interiors. It’s hip and modern, yet intimate and welcoming - a rare balance.

The homemade breakfast each morning was a delight! Freshly baked cake, and made-to-order eggs - all served in a chic space that still feels cozy and personal. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you want to linger and savour every bite.

But what truly sets Tipografia do Conto apart is the incredible team, and in particular, Roberto - a true standout. From the moment we checked in, Roberto made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. His warmth, sincerity, and enthusiasm were infectious. He didn’t just suggest things to do in Porto - he mapped out an entire personalized itinerary for our time in the city and our entire Portugal road trip! From must-see sights to hidden gems, from local eateries to unforgettable experiences, Roberto ensured we saw Portugal through a local's lens.

His attentiveness, deep local knowledge, and genuine love for sharing the best of his country were beyond impressive. Friendly, sincere, and effortlessly fun - he went far beyond the call of duty, turning our holiday into an adventure filled with heart, flavour, and unforgettable moments.

Tipografia do Conto is not just a place to stay - it’s a place to feel inspired, well cared for, and stylishly at home. We left Porto feeling enriched, and much of that was thanks to this beautiful space and its exceptional people.

Unforgettable Stay in Porto

We felt right at home after just one week. The hotel itself is breathtaking – futuristic, modern, and tastefully decorated. The rooms have high ceilings and large windows, with each room uniquely designed. The hotel is small and intimate, which adds to its charm. The garden is the perfect place to find peace and quiet in the heart of Porto. Alongside a cozy courtyard, there’s a beautiful pool with fresh towels and plenty of space to relax all day. Everything is even more beautiful than in the pictures.

The team is simply fantastic – friendly, and always in a good mood. The entire staff does everything to ensure a perfect stay. You can immediately tell that they are passionate about their work. Roberto always has great tips for sights and places worth visiting.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Every day brought a new surprise, and the selection was always fresh and delicious. The cakes and pastries are simply heavenly. The omelet is highly recommended. Paulo and Clod spoil you with culinary delights – it was a highlight! The salads always have unique combinations, and the fruit is fresh and tasty. The jams and nut butters are all homemade, and fresh water is always available at the bar. In the afternoon, the area transforms into a bar – be sure to try a drink in the afternoon or evening, Cátia makes delicious creations.

The location is very central, and many sights are within walking distance. Taxis are also a good option, and the prices are fair.

I recommend staying longer than just one or two nights to fully enjoy this wonderful hotel. Whether you stay at Tipografia do Conto, Casa do Conto, or the new Casa da Árvore – you will absolutely love your time here. :)

We had an amazing stay at Tipografia do Conto Hotel! From start to finish, the kindness of the staff made our visit truly special, especially Roberto, who was incredibly welcoming and gave us excellent advice that enhanced our experience in Porto.||This boutique hotel is stunning—a perfect blend of vintage decor and modern architecture. Our apartment was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful details, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay.||The location is perfect—situated on a quiet street in the Cedofeita area but nevertheless very central, with Porto’s main attractions within walking distance.||The hotel also features a lovely and relaxing garden with a small swimming pool, which looked so inviting! Unfortunately, the weather was too cold during our visit to try it out, so we’ll definitely have to come back in the warmer months to enjoy it fully.||Breakfast was another highlight, with good options, including some delicious vegan choices. The lovely staff even prepared our favorite veggies when we arrived, which we really appreciated.||Highly recommend this stylish gem for anyone...
