The Google directions to this hotel were really misleading. I think it should be the hotel management job to make sure it has the right directions set in.
Everything in this hotel is acting as a small annoyance. Individually, these annoyances could be ignored, but when you sum them up, your staying can become really frustranting:
the nightstands are way too small the elevator is too small for two persons with two trollers and backpacks and it is acting really weird the soap dispenser in the bathroom is really hard and annoying to use the water switch for shower is working exactly the opposite you would it expect it
And many, many other small things.
Not to mention the yellow stain on the toilet seat, right when we checked in. This is the reason I am giving this hotel 1 star.
They have a sign at an entrance bragging how this hotel was nominated as one of the most profitable hotels in Romania. Well, I would not take this as a bragging point. Profitable does not mean great customer experience.
However, the staff was friendly, considering the bad this going here.
And the breakfast was rather decent. Seeing how horrible the whole experience was in the first night, we were really reluctant in going downstairs for breakfast in the morning. In the end it turned out to be a decent meal. Maybe the only redeeming quality of this accommodation.
Stop bragging about being profitable, and start caring about the...
Read moreCustomer service was 100%, staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Communicating direct with hotel before arriving as flights were late, then delayed, taxi organised with female driver, what’s app communication set up before departing flight. Asked for single beds as travelling with teenage grand daughter, all organised with a smile. (Georgina) ||Hotel was older, wood instead of plastic, curtains instead of blinds, which added to its charm. Rooms were clean, airy with little balconies (air con, but didn’t use it, I prefer fresh air).||European breakfast (try the scrambled egg, it’s delicious), at serviced at a decent time. One day we were in a coach trip and had to get up early, we cheekily asked if we could have a packed breakfast instead, so very pleasantly surprised when it was there when we arrived at reception. ||As I have mentioned, all staff were amazing, helpful, from start to end. Thank you for making our trip so perfect. ||Tips: Uber was used, but very affordable, download the app to book, if outside, but if leaving from hotel, let reception book it, you get the price up front (in advance).||Tubes (underground) you used your card, and just hop in and off.||Didn’t get the opportunity to use the buses, it wasn’t very clear, how much or where they stop, so if you want to use them investigate...
Read moreI was booked in this hotel for my last work trip to Bucarest. When I read the comments here, I thought that may be people were too tough. Unfortunately, when I got there, it was as bad as the TripAdvisor members were saying... Very rude welcoming at the reception desk when I arrived at 7 am after a long trip (even if the next day there was a nicer guy there), breakfast stopped being served at 9.30 and everything in the room was bad: the curtain didn't close (it was out of order), the bed was uncomfortable, the shower curtain did not close either, the basket lid was broken, the heating was extremely noisy and would only work after I entered the room, furniture was old and ugly. The elevator made a strange noise between the 3rd and the 4th floor, and I always feared to get stuck in there. On the first day, I left at 10:30 and when I came back in the evening, the room had not been done. It really looked as if I was living back in the communist sad time. Avoid it as...
