My overall stay was ok, but unfortunately several aspects of the room facilities made the experience quite disappointing.
First of all, the shower was a real letdown. The water pressure came out as an excessively narrow jet rather than a pleasant rain-like flow, and since the shower doors didn’t close properly, water ended up leaking outside. To make things worse, no large towel or bathrobe was provided – only two small towels, so I had to use one for the upper body and one for the lower body, which felt rather ridiculous.
Another issue was the lack of a proper trash bin in the room. There was only the small bathroom bin, which is not enough if you need to throw away anything larger.
The elevator system also needs serious improvement. There are three elevators, but they are not managed centrally. Each one works separately, so if someone on a floor presses all three buttons, the system becomes inefficient and guests end up waiting far too long. A centralized system that coordinates the elevators would make a big difference.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good and the view from my room (13th floor) was spectacular, but unfortunately that alone is not enough to outweigh the other...

The room had the window open when we arrived (approx. 10 PM) and it was too cold to stay. According to the staff, this is the hotel policy to freshen the air, as there is no one to close the windows after the room gets cleaned. Given the time of the year (end of December), this made impossible to stay in the room. The staff at the reception was willing though to change the room with a larger one that didn't have the window open. The furniture and bathroom appliances are old and obsolete and could use a refresh Breakfast area was not very welcoming and quality of the food was poor
At this rate (70 euro/night) there are better options in Sibiu. The management should improve the policy with the windows open until guests arrive, especially in winter time, if they want to keep customers satisfied. Few degrees above 0 is not what you want to get at 10 PM after you...
Read moreMyContinental is located in the heart of Sibiu, in Piata Unirii, just 900 meters from Piata Mare (The Large Square). You can find almost everything within 300 meters (Piata Teatrului), such as places to eat or have coffee and drinks. Hotel room was very clean and warm, and spacious enough. It offered a great view of the city through its window, especially if you are placed on the highest floors. WiFi reception was excellent. Staff at the reception was friendly and polite. Just outside of the hotel is a public parking, where you can park your car paying 10 Lei (around 2,5 euro) for 24hrs. My only complain about the hotel is their cleaning staff. After my 3rd night (stayed there for 5 days) I left outside of my room's door the sign "Clean the room". Due to rainy days there was dust and mud on the floor from shoes. The cleaning staff never bothered to broom my floor within the next two days. Other than this, I would stay again in...
