Pension Ileana — Hotel in Sibiu

This pension has clean rooms and although it doesn't have very large rooms (compared to other places), they are nice looking, they're clean and organized. The bathroom has a shower cabin (it's not cramped either) and it's also clean and the smell inside the bathroom is nice (usually of citrus plants). It's a nice place to stay overnight, it's in the city center, close to Piața Mare, the Brukenthal Museum and other tourist attractions and shops. And now since winter time, as of this year, you can also go skating or try out those shops nearby (1 minute of walking or so, they're almost right there). They also have a restaurant, Romanian type with folk music mostly with decent tasting food. You can find it very easy. Just as you walk out of the pension, simply turn left and there you have it. If you look in front of you, you should see the parking lot and the cab station. I am not by any means an employee of them, paid by them or the owner. Ok, it's located close to the city center, it has a boutique feel BUT the cleaning standards are appalling. I'm not a fussy person and not even looking for something to bang a company. But when you see the previous person's hair still on the bathroom floor it's a big no no . ||You can tell the owner doesn't want to invest anymore but not even keeping the minimum maintenance is sad. The drains in the toilet constantly smells. The paint on the walls is begging to peal away and the main entrance into the hotel welcomes you with a big gap in the wall covered by expanding foam. Great welcome by the way. ||I know it's a 2 - 3 star hotel but with a little bit effort it could have turn into an at least average, if not a good cosy chic hotel helped by a very good location.||It's a cheap hotel for the area but if you're planning to stay more than one night try...

The pension has a hugh adventage: it is very close to the city centre. ||From other side: they did not really speak english at the reception, there was an interesting smell when entering the room, there was a wedding in the restaurant so it was quite loud especially until 10pm. ||The offered a parking place for a small money but at the reception they had no clue about. ||TV did not work because the lack of electricity, shower tube was broken.||||Size of the room is acceptable, there is an air condition which was helpful as I couldn't open the window coz of the noise. ||Breakfast was not from table but it was right. ||||I do no think I...
