Booked the hotel back in May 2019, then had to cancel the original reservation. The hotel charged me one-night stay, despite the fact it said that they are handling all the payments on location; till today I am trying to get a refund on that reservation. Later in May I went ahead and booked the hotel again since the location seemed to be perfect for my stay in Moscow and the price seemed reasonable. Upon arrival on August 30, I was shocked to see that advertised hotel is absolutely the opposite of what was described on the website. The room was tiny with prison type beds, dirty carpets, whole in the wall shower and restroom. The room had no A/C, refrigerator, cups, coffee, nothing!!! the windows are overlooking the backyard of a building. The "curtain" on the window looked like a mosquito net. The room smelled like something rotten. I spoke with the manager at the property and asked to move me to another room. He showed me the room and that was even worse than the first one. I told him that this was a rip-off and I am not staying there and asked for the refund. The actual description they have on a site is completely the opposite of what you would see in reality. He asked me to fill out the reimbursement form and he will put money back to my account. I am still waiting on my refund. I ended up booking a Sheraton hotel up the street which cost me the same price and I had an excellent hotel for my stay in Moscow. I would never suggest staying here!! DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY AND TIME. They will never reimburse you...

Later my plans changed and I had to cancel the entire booking, as I was heading to another city instead of Moscow. Usually money was returned in a week, but not at this time. As I live in another country, it's hard for me to contact the property directly by the phone, so I asked my mom to do that. She called them twice, first they assured money would be back in a week... But then I got another email where they asked me to re-book for later date after the virus would be gone. Which is ridiculous since the reason why I canceled my booking had nothing to do with the virus, and I am not planning to visit Moscow in the coming years. I emailed them and got no answer. 3 weeks later they re-directed her to Booking support who asked for transaction proof. Approx half year before the tour I booked rooms in this hotel for approx 40 people and approx 5 days before the trip, hotel cancelled my booking for 40 people without reason. After they cancelled my booking, they didn't want reply to my e-mails and nobody didn't want communicate with me. I think this is strategy of the hotel. Prepayment was paid, later they prepayment transferred back. For 40 people and 5 days before the tour was very difficult find hotel in the city center which was available and of course the rates of hotels were much expensive 5 days before tour, than half year before tour. When I read reviews of this hotel I see, that this hotel usually cancel bookings without reason. I lost much money with this tour. I hope, this review can help to somebody.
