The Legends of Moscow (Four Seasons) is the most well run, efficiently staffed and employs the most courteous attentive staff. They respond within minutes to any issues we had in the states regarding changing visa information, which most hotels linger with some lame excuses of "we have to wait for so and so...). Just to put this review in perspective, I have been to the best hotels worldwide - from The Upper House in Hong Kong, to Amanpuri in Phuket and Amanyara in Turks and Caicos. Eden Rock in St Barths a favorite for many years is great but I felt the service here was much more hospitable. Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, The Nelson in Cape Town, Hotel du Cap in Antibes, Raffles in Singapore, etc., etc. are all very nice - so I have a good gauge of what is amazing and what is just hype. I can say for certain this hotel is a jewel for its service, its staff, and the overall ease of our stay. Everything was a "YES" or "We will immediately look into that." Which made this one of the best (if not the best) hotel experience I've ever had.
I was here on August 1, 2024 - August 10, 2024 with my boyfriend. both of us are seasoned travelers from NYC. I am born in Russia but my bf is American who imagined this beautiful country by the disparagement he's been accustomed to, which is propagated by western media in our country.I wanted to show the true Russia that EVERY freethinking, intelligent and curious traveler must see for themselves!).
Location is literally 2 minutes from the Red Square, (GUM, Kremlin, etc). If you book in advance the rates are unmatched. I will be back and bringing more friends with me. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
The Amnis Spa was absolutely amazing, and the massage I had with Maria was 10/10. THIS is the kind of experience a guest at any hotel of this caliber should claim, but unfortunately, even massage in Asian resorts like Amen, aren't comparable.
The rooms are well equipped, (ours was on the 10th floor overlooking the Duma - my only complaint is that we weren't facing the Red Square, and as foreigners who booked a 10 day stay 7 months in advance I thought that this should have been the proper room for us as we prepaid so far in advance).
Dasha (Daria) at the front desk did claim to upgrade us and was extremely pleasant (she was the first ;hint of contact, but all staff was well trained, no one said "I don't know...I don't handle that, I am not sure....which is what Europe and the USA are infamous for; Inept and...
Read moreWouldn't reccomend this hotel to anyone but my worst enemy. Single worst Four Seasons on planet earth hands down. Can't drive to the hotel, that includes from the airport, can't get taxis from the hotel either. The hotel has no parking in front, and only has a single-lane (no shoulder) public-use lane in front of it, which takes roughly 30 minutes to traverse 2 blocks (no joke). Once any car actually waits the 30 minutes to get in front of the hotel, they can't wait there since there is no waiting area, and they will be told to keep moving. On top of that, the rooms look like something out of a motel 6, with less functionality. There were no less than 7 light switches to operate the lights in the room, none of which were near the bed except the bedside lamp. There is no button for "do not disturb", and furthermore no do-not-disturb placard offered to place on the door knob. Service was good, and so is the location, however there are several top quality hotels within a block including the Ritz Carlton and the Ararat Park Hyatt, both of which crush this Four Seasons. The roof-top restaurant at the Ararat crushes the ambience of the 2nd floor windowless restaurant of the Four Seasons for breakfast or any other meal for that matter. Lastly, the Four Seasons is consistently the most expensive of all the neighborhoog 5-star hotels, so its the worst of...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for one week in January 2017. It's a 5 stars hotel with a luxury interior and decorations. Breakfast was extremely exciting. Really, it was a pleasure to stay there but I had a couple of uncomfortable and confusing events. Hotel had been booked by employer and company's credit card was presented as a guarantee for accommodation. During checking in I was asked for a payment but because of unlucky circumstances the total sum had not been transferred to my account. I payed for two nights and was awaiting for a money. These days were holidays in the country where I came from and banks didn't work. After two days I got a call from the reception with the request to pay the rest amount and I promised to perform that next day. Friendly lady agreed on that. When I returned back the same night the door of my room was blocked. I went down to the reception to clarify the situation and met unfriendly request make the payment. I had only the sum for two nights and did it. When I was trying to explain my situation, the ladies just smiling and laughing at me. Next day I received money and covered my staying. When I looked at my bank account the total blocked sum was twice more than enough. Summarizing - the hotel is very nice, room service is the best, several receptionists do not fit...
