Yet another example in Serbia where the hotel is beautiful and staff is amazing, but the owner is unwilling to invest the basic renovations and repairs. We are not taking huge costly repairs, just small things that are necessary. The light in the bathroom is so dim, it would be hard to shave or put in contacts. I had a hair dryer affixed to the wall in the bathroom, but where the electric socket should be, there was just a hole in the wall. They brought me an extra hairdryer to the room, but what's the point of having a hairdryer in bathrooms affixed to the wall if you have nothing to plug it into? Room is pretty dark too and one room had frayed carpet. These are all small things that could be easily fixed. Hotel itself is beautiful and has potential if the owner cared enough. The employees go above and beyond with kindness and helpfulness, almost making it up for the cheapness of its owners, but there is only so much they can do. Only the friendly staff increased...

Within the first few hours in the room myself and my husband experienced the following: used bathroom, hair on the floor, broken armchair, torn bed sheets/towels, spider webs on the ceiling on top of the bed...what more can you experience in that short time??? Hotel management definitely should revise their housekeeping standards!!! Not to ruin our weekend break in Belgrade we had to find very quickly alternative accommodation. After horrific experience, on top of everything, we were charged full room rate including breakfast!!! Although you can not expect much from a 3 start hotel. Just across the road for the same value of money you can find Villa Akacija with the incomparable service...
