The rooms were quite nice, fairly clean, good breakfast. AC was almost non existent and my son lay awake all night due to the heat. As well, there wasn't much of a welcome, we were told no information about the room or our surroundings, on every occasion, we had to go and find the front staff at the restaurant and they seemed put out when we did. We were told there were two breakfast sittings so we chose the 730am. We had to wait, along with another family, outside for the restaurant to open it's doors at 7:35am. Not a big deal but we rushed to get down there and it set the tone for the morning. We also couldn't sleep at night because those dining for the later dinner service (after 830pm) kept us up. ||THE ABSOLUTE WORST was a woman with glasses and long red hair (Christine?) who was so rude. I'm the wife of an airline pilot, we travel a lot, and this was the WORST customer service and treatment I've ever had. During a mix up regarding which paragliding company to use (which didn't inconvenience anyone on any side for longer than a minute), she spoke in Slovenian to the company that she called (I, unknowingly, had just booked with another company --KUMULUS PARAGLIDING IS FANTASTIC--) except to LOUDLY, in front of all of the restaurant diners, say in English, SORRY --five times--to the Slovenian woman on the phone. I'm sure the woman at the paragliding company didn't care that I used a different company. I hadn't booked with anyone, we'd only decided to paraglide at all 30 minutes prior, and it was just a joke how angry Christine was. This was clearly to let me know that this 2 minute mix up annoyed her. Am I incorrect in assuming that Slovenians have there own word for "sorry"? It was just so laughably immature and rude. Then she went apoplectic when I returned from paragliding and had not paid my 5 dollar tourist tax. I had no idea I had to pay it and, as usual, whenever we left the hotel there was no one at the front desk. HORRIBLE woman. She was just so profoundly unprofessional and miserable and wanted her guests to know how much she hates her job. I would never stay here again. Ever. It was amusing when she spat out something about my American card. You could hear the hatred of Americans in her voice. She was visibly shocked when I mentioned it was a US card but I'm Canadian! Ugh. Get out of...

Read morePros: location, breakfast, view from restaurant/lawn |Cons: poor customer service, lack of hot water|Our family of 4 stayed in 14B, a family room. There was an issue with the hot water heater, so that there was only about 7 minutes worth of hot water to shower (for a family of 4). The reception desk is not staffed, with a sign asking that we speak with someone at the restaurant— so we spoke with one of the waiters who seemed annoyed/put out. No one got back to us with whether issue was resolved. We had the same issue the next day, told the same person again, and it was again met with indifference/annoyance. Given that there was still no one at reception I emailed the hotel and received a response by email from Kristina thanking us for bringing it to their attention. Meanwhile we were having dinner at their restaurant and the waiters were curt and provided minimal service (did not replace empty water until we asked twice, never filled our wine glasses, never checked on us.) |On check out we found out from Kristina that she did not know about the issue until she spoke with the waiters after getting our email- which probably explains their cold service. Though she gave us a discount on the room charges Kristina’s “apology” for not just the cold showers but also the poor communication/service was inadequate, mostly bringing up no access to a plumber over the weekend. It seems like a poor staffing model if legitimate customer concerns have to be brought to waiters, who appear bothered by the interruption, and do not communicate with the higher ups.|We have spent over a week in Slovenia and everyone we met had been lovely and gracious- this experience stood out as unusual and unfortunately left us with a bad taste. We would not...
