My husband and I have stayed at this establishment numerous times before and could see the deterioration in their service as well as in the facilities with each stay in the last few years. The last 2 times we stayed here was in November and December this year. Never ever again. ||1. When you book a room online and you go to check in, they don’t give you the room category that you’ve booked. Their excuse..the room that you’ve booked doesn’t have elevator access and we thought this one would be more convenient. ||2. The bed had dirty sheets on it. ||3. Lots of black mould in the showers.||4. The floors of the rooms are dirty.||5. No coffee or milk at the coffee station, only tea and sugar. I had to call down to reception to bring us some and someone just brought a handful of sachets like they’ve just grabbed a fistful somewhere. Delivered without apologies or a smile. I was obviously bothering them. ||6. No towels in the room, I had to call reception. ||7. Soap dispenser at washbasin was broken. ||8. Booked a King room, got a normal double room.||9. Booked a King room with a seaview..got a room at the back of the property looking out on a road and vibercrete wall and school yard. Double bed, no seating area, no view. ||10. Booked a room with separate seating area of 50sqm, got a room with no seperate area of no more than 30sqm. ||11. No hairdryer in the room as advertised, their excuse is that their guests steal them and you have to ask for one. Brought me a a very flimsy hairdryer after asking, again without a smile. I also had to ask for a plug adapter as none was provided . ||12. When I checked out I raised all these issues at the reception again, they just said sorry..we apologise. I told them that I will never come back again and that I was going to write a review. They obviously couldn’t be bothered less by this. The one lady that looked to be in charge at reception turned around as I was still speaking and walked to a back office and just closed the door in my face. I asked the lady on accounts while I was paying if she would pay this amount of money for what you get and she also said no. ||So no..I will never stay here again and I would advise everyone to rather spend your hard earned money elsewhere. It left a very bad taste in my mouth to have to pay any amount of money for this disgusting establishment. There are many other places that is definitely better. The only reason I give any star rating whatsoever is because I have to to be able to...

I recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip.

Firstly, the hotel does not provide breakfast on-site. Instead, they offer a voucher for a nearby restaurant. However, the restaurant only opens at 8 am, which is a problem as I need to be at work and attending to marketing events by that time. This arrangement does not accommodate for working guests.

Secondly, upon entering my room, I immediately noticed an excessive mouldy smell. Initially, I presumed it originated from the fan in the bathroom. In an attempt to eliminate the odor, I resorted to leaving the sliding door open. However, doing so raises safety concerns, especially during the night when I am sleeping.

Furthermore, during the course of the night, I experienced severe coughing, swollen eyes, and had to rely on my asthma pump. It became evident that the unpleasant smell in the room was coming from the mattress on the bed, which was giving off this unbearable moldy and rotten smell. It seems that the mattress might have gotten wet in the past and was never properly dried, causing this odor.

At 1am this morning, unable to withstand the unbearable moldy smell I went downstairs to reception.  Seeking a resolution, I immediately approached the night manager to explain the issue and inquire about the possibility of being given an alternative room.

Regrettably, the night manager did not display much interest in my concerns and informed me that the hotel was fully booked, with only one room available that would be occupied by guests arriving the next day. Despite my firm resistance to staying in the room, the night manager initially seemed uninterested in accommodating my request. However, after persistent insistence on my part, he reluctantly agreed to provide me with an alternative room on the same (second floor). It is worth noting that no apologies or other gestures were offered by the night manager during our interaction.

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise in the hospitality industry, but the condition of this room was unacceptable.

The hotel has an overall mouldy and unpleasant smell and I suspect they are struggling with damp challenges, especially on the second floor.

The hotel however did try and accommodate me and eventually moved me to a third room on the top floor which was more in line with...

We arranged an accommodation booking with a person named Deck at the Point Village Hotel. He mention that accommodation would be on top of the Delfinos restaurant. We payed R7200 for 7 persons for 4 nights. On the day of arrival we were informed by one of the receptionists that it was not the room that we booked but that we get a room near the Lighthouse. I had not received any invoice or information regarding these changes on our email or whatsapp of our booking.

We requested to see Deck that was off-duty for 2 days according to receptionists. Despite not receiving any invoice prior. I was then at that moment issued with an invoice of accommodation for the Lighthouse for the first time. We went to the check out the Lighthouse accommodation and found it extremely unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. Parking was not suitable and was very dangerous. We then went back to receptionists to raise a complaint. Then regional manager Tracey generalized stating that 90 old year old people booked there as well. We requested a refund which she threatened to refuse.

We found the regional manager and the general manager Precious defensive, unprofessional and insecure as they could not make a decision at that moment. They threatened us with police and recorded us without our permission. This is a direct violation of ourselves and of the POPIA act. Only then the manager had decided to refund 75%. I do not recommend this hotel. The 1/5 rating I would at least give for the one receptionist that responded...

Perfect Location, lovely little place with breath taking views . Room for improvement definitely on their House keeping , Had the same towels whole weekend, requested room cleaning but returned to the same bedding, same towels even though is a rack to hang out towels it still feels good to come to fresh linen. Arrived and the bath was still dirty, requested a clean which didn't happen. Overall i will definitely return for another stay and would just like to compliment the Night Porter when we were a late arrival he was extremely friendly and as well as the lovely vibrant Kurt at the reception that helped us on the Saturday. Good Job well done on the awesome place but there is definitely room for improvement

It is a perfectly good hotel to spend your holidays in front of the Sea at Mossel Baai. Amazing view from the room windows. Lighthouse and the beach is very near by. The only drawback is the service. I spend two nights at this hotel. First night I had the air conditioning remote control but the second night it was missing and the ac was on at 20°C. I asked for a replacement but was refused. The weather around is pleasant, so there is usually no need of air conditioning in the rooms especially at this temperature. Caught up with cold the third day.

Overall I had a good stay, efficient check in and check out. Rooms to the road are more noisy, and lots of artificial light from street lanterns just in front of your window. Didn't have block out curtains to darken the room. Rooms need management attention. Chipped glasses, broken light bulbs, missing aerator of bathroom tap, no available wall plugs, etc. Just a number of small things.
