FlowerBox Cottages — Hotel in George

The cottage itself was quite decent, even though the Wi-Fi dropped off quite a few times. The customer service was really disappointing. I made a booking via an accommodation platform and upon arrival at the cottage, I simply couldn't get hold of the property owner. I tried calling and even left a voicemail message. I smsed and emailed via the booking platform as well. There was no response and it was frustrating. When the property owner eventually called me back, she rather asked how long I had been in the area already. At that point, we had left to go somewhere else as we had been waiting in front of the cottage for almost a hour already. She made no apology that she wasn't at the cottage at check-in time. I also noticed that she called me back from a different number and made an excuse about the other number. However, we tried to contact her on both numbers as we found an additional number on a board outside the cottage. My family and I did a 1 night sleep here. Lovely central cottage. Close to shops etc. Our only drawback was, we parked our van on the street(in front of the cottage) but someone broke into the back of the van and helped themselves to all my shoes and a few clothing pieces of my daughter. Not a nice way to start a holiday. Flowerbox needs secure parking. The area is busy during Dec and the locals are aware that holiday makers...

Beautiful self catering option in a quiet area. Facilities are perfect for a small family. Outside gas barbecue is a a plus. Small and quaint, remembering you will be sleeping here and not entertaining. Very safe and within walking distance of most facilities. Lovely indoor fire place.
