Frinton On Sea 8 — Hotel in KwaDukuza Local Municipality

Disclaimer: this is a review of Unit 4 as Google maps seems to assign the location to number 8 only. Great place to stay and I must say, the location is awesome, not too far from any of the beaches, plus plenty of rock pools to satisfy a child (or adult's) curiosity! There are a few very conveniently located grocery stores around close by and all are in a great condition! The unit is nicely kitted out with all the major amenities (inverter included as well for those annoying loadshedding spells) and the rooms are comfortable and sleep very nicely. Aircon and fans in the unit is a great welcome! The unit is child friendly and has an entire toy box with loads of beach toys and things like board games as well to keep one busy. I just had a few concerning points. One is the lack of kitchen cutlery; for example I counted all of 5 tea spoons, for a unit that sleeps 8 (excluding infants), plus other items like spatulas which were microscopic in size and hardly effective for cooking. Which means regardless of the daily room service (which is brilliant might I add - thank you Thandi and Thembi), there's always a need to clean cutlery. Another concern is a few minor maintenance issues (windows not wanting to open or the window handles so corroded that one snapped off in my father in law's hands and a kitchen cupboard door above the stove which is broken off its hinges). These however are not downers though on the overall experience of number 4 Frinton on Sea. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the week spent here and we'll definitely be back! Definitely...

We were lucky enough to stay at 4 Frinton on Sea from 26-31 August 2016 on very short notice. ||||The apartment is luxurious with a master bedroom (king size bed), a second bedroom (a double bed), and a third room (with two twin beds); and two bathrooms (one with a shower and the other one with both a shower and a bath). The kitchen has all the amenities necessary for a restful, self-catering stay. This includes a washing machine, tumble dryer and a dishwasher. ||||The lounge is fully equipped with a HD television and a lovely lounge suite that can comfortably sit up to 6 people. There is also complimentary WiFi which is reasonably quick. ||||The view from the balcony is breathtaking. It is safe to say that when we were at the apartment, we spent most of our time relaxing on the balcony which is equipped a 8-seater patio table, two sun loungers, an umbrella, a built-in charcoal braai and a free-standing gas braai. ||||The apartment is comfortable and clean. The manager, Sonette, was very helpful and accommodating (especially when we told her we had broken a glass accidentally).||||Frinton on Sea is located within a decent proximity to two major shopping centres and several beaches.||||A wonderful place to stay! We stayed at the beautiful 4 Frinton on Sea over the June long weekend. The balcony overlooks the ocean, stunning views. The main bedroom also faces the see. Modern 3 bedroom apartment beautifully decorated and fully stocked with anything you can possibly need. The ice maker was a cherry on top which made us very happy;) The apartment even has beach toys for kids which was a plus for us as we were travelling with kids. They also provide beach umbrellas if you want to walk a few steps to go lay in the sand all day. ||All bedrooms have air conditioner, which helped as during winter days are sunny but evenings do get chilly. ||||The main bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower only, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a reading nook with cushions and a comfortable bench, bedroom 3 has a double bed and a single bed (2 bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower and bath tub). The patio is huge with a 8 seater patio set, 2 beach loungers and a braai area.||There are a few shopping malls and shops close by to stock up on food and drinks.||||The only negative is that the WiFi is not always reliable and it slow.||Overall we had such a great family holiday, we have already booked to come back next year.
