This hotel is popular among SE Asian travelers. Located in downtown area, just 10mins by taxi from the airport or 15mins by airport limousine bus; it is highly convenient for those intending to explore the northern or city side of Jeju. Lots of restaurants offering BBQ, fried chicken, traditional Korean foods, GS25 mart is just around the corner with larger 7-11 just 5-7mins walk. Paik cafe offers reasonably priced coffee and light breakfast foods if you get sick of convenience foods. Daiso and a supermarket is 10mins walk away. There is also a fitness park to work out the calories. Bus stops offering buses to different parts of Jeju, including city tour buses is also within 7mins walk.
The hotel room is more like a service apartment. My room was spacious with a small dry kitchenette, full size 2 door fridge and washing machine (Samsung).
Basic cutlery and crockery, knife, kettle and a pot big enough to cook 2 pkts of ramen is provided. In the wardrobe, there are lots of hangers and a foldable clothes hanger. Detergent, laundry powder, body liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner are also provided. In short, well equipped for a short stay.
Room is fairly sound proof as long as window is closed but sounds of water flushing at night can wake a light sleeper.
Bed- Simmons mattress but pillows were too soft for me (feels like feathered ones)
Wifi is autoconnected with a flat screen TV that can access internet, etc.
Had a wonderful 1 week stay there. A special shout out to one of their staff, Jang who spoke good English and assisted us in booking taxis using his phone app.
If you have WeChat, there is a taxi-booking service to airport by them via WeChat. Communication was a mix of Mandarin and English and we made cash payment to the receptionist.
Cons be sure to wash the cups etc with detergent again before use. Found stains in the bottom of cups as previous occupant did not wash thoroughly.
charging via the USB ports at bedside table was EXTREMELY slow, was faster with a travel adapter
no instructions for washing machine but it's pretty self explanatory - just turn on power, turn the knob and look for the lighted symbols to show the different functions.
no housekeeping and need to sort and throw rubbish at the rubbish collection area nearby but there is a magic-wiper to pick up hair and dust...
Read moreI would like to first start off with a few things. I don’t normally leave bad reviews unless there was no other possible solution The premise itself is nice- great location, very clean.
My 1 star reviews comes from the awful experience we had with our booking and the lack of cooperation from this premise. We booked through booking.com - 2 Queen beds.
When we got there after a tiring day of traveling, we got keys to a room with one Queen bed. We had to get that straightened out- honest mix up of keys, no big deal.
Our second room we got had one Queen bed, and a mattress and a couch that did not pull out. This is not 2 Queen beds.
We tried to explain this to the front desk who had to escalate it to their manager. This took a long time and the ultimate solutions they could provide us with was bringing in another couch or getting us a new room with two double beds. Again, not the two queen beds we booked for four people. Incredibly tired and frustrated, we took the two double beds.
I’ve been in contact with booking.com twice now and their reps confirmed that our booking was indeed for two Queen beds. They have reached out to this hotel now to issue a complaint and this hotel has not responded. Been about a week at this point and a few weeks now overall since this mess happened.
Booking confirmed that this hotel changed up its description after I booked and the fault lies with this hotel.
This place has not been cooperative nor accurate with its postings and have not made any steps into resolving this matter. I even told booking.com that I think a partial refund would be fair and that I did not expect a full refund as we stayed the night. The issue is that we did not get what we paid for and they are just ignoring this fact and trying to argue that their description stated something else. Yes, well then don’t advertise it as 2 Queen beds.
I have held off writing a review but have not gotten a response from this place for a reasonable resolution.
This place itself is nice but the dishonest practices are NOT okay....
Read moreI’m from Vietnam, visiting South Korea. When I got into the hotel, there was no one working at the front desk. I finally found someone after a while.
Then, when I first got into the hotel room, the place looked a bit suspicious and scary. It was night time and was not a comforting place. I noticed that the hotel room wasn’t well cleaned, the towels still had some dirt and the cups were dirty as well. The table counters, floors were slightly dirty too. I could tell that it was dirty very easily. And the shower handle to change the temperature of the water is difficult. It’s not like any other shower where you can just turn the handle and the temperature of the water changes. It took me about 10-20 min to figure out how to change it. (my wording may seem a bit off, I’m not sure how to say it). The room is not well cleaned with no proper service.
The only good thing that it provides a washing machine and microwave unlike some other hotels.
The hotel is a bit overpriced considering what the inside is like. It may look good by the pictures, but the vibe is different and doesn’t look exactly the same. I would definitely recommend going to...
